Mike was extraordinary. His tour was logically planned and presented with focus on essential facts, with in-depth information available if requested. We felt he introduced us to the history and culture of Valencia from an on-the-ground experience and suggested other areas to visit with explanations as to how it all fit together. His pointing out hidden features of the city that no guidebook would ever address helped make it special. We weren’t sure what was going to be covered in the city tour and he covered most of the areas we had planned to visit with or without a guide. The horchata stop was a pleasant surprise. This was not my first visit to Valencia, but in my previous random walks around the city I saw a blur of obviously historic buildings, but with no accessible context or content. Mike’s tour literally opened doors to the history, art, and commerce of Valencia. He walked me into the “hidden” entrances to hIstorical sites that have been specially preserved by the City of Valencia. This was all woven into a fascinating historical narrative spanning 2000 years from Roman, Viking, and Moorish up to the modern Valencia. At the end of the tour Mike provided great pointers for museums and other sights I could explore on my own. Mike helped me realize how much more there is to this amazing city. Even taking the long tour I realized that Mike had much more he could share about Valencia. I will be returning with family in tow, and I hope to be able to do it again. again.Best guided tour ever!

Mike was brilliant and we learned a massive amount about the whole history of the very beautiful city. We were also lucky enough to be there the day before their national day so there were all sorts of performers around. Our trip took us from the old part of the city to the green lung running for 5 km through and the magnificent Ciutat de las Artes. The best cycle trip and the best local host! Thanks so much Mike. We had a wonderful morning with Mike seeing the sights of Valencia and learning about its history. Mike has a gentle presence, a true love for this beautiful city and a depth of knowledge that made the experience with him so lovely. Seeing Valencia by bike is idea as it allowed us to see both the old city and the beautiful park with its sci-fi architecture. Mike suggested going earlier than we had booked which was ideal as even though the old city stays cool thanks to the moorish architecture it was a very hot July day and we avoided cycling when the sun was at its hottest. I'd really recommend Mike for the bicycle ride/tour in Valencia! Mike knows a lot about the city and tells it in an incredible way. He's flexible during the program, so he tells and shows you whatever you want to know or see in Valencia. I experienced the tour with a group of friends (students) and to be honest, in the first place, we hadn't the nice expectations such as we experienced it. After all, Mike totally surprised us and made it a lovely trip! Suits perfectly for any kind of groups!

We had a fantastic customized tour through Valencia, on to the beach and up to Saplaya with Mike. The tour included historical facts but also information on the countless graffitis that we were especially interested in.
