   We will start with stories about Gaudi and his life while sipping on delicious local hot chocolate.

5. Santa Maria del Mar

   According to us locals, it's the most beautiful basilica in Barcelona. We will see where Gaudi got some of his inspiration for the Sagrada.

6. (optional) Coffee Stop

   For coffee lovers, the best coffee shop in Barrcelona which has been around for 100 years.

7. Croquetas in Born

   While exploring this wonderful neighbourhood, we will get our second tasting; croquetas!

8. The Gothic Quarter

   One of the famous desserts in Barcelona are Bunyols. It's time to sample them in this 150 years old pastry shop in the Gothic Quarter.

9. Famous Cathedral

   Let's check out the cathedral and its history related to Gaudi plus the special wall of Freedom. We can also refresh ourselves with some tasty local ice cream.

10. Churros!

    No Barcelona sweet treat tour can be complete without churros!

11. The Final Treat

    After exploring more of Gaudi legacy in the Gothic Quarter, we will sit at this 200 years old pastry shop and enjoy Cremadet.

We had a very interesting tour with Phillipe yesterday , he ‘tailored’ the tour to our needs. As he is clearly very informed on the history of Spain he was very interesting in how he contextualises the period , style and anecdotes about the Kings, Queens and their reign. We also enjoyed the sweet part- the desserts in off the road, non tourist venues. We would highly recommend this tour.Not only the obvious- much more!

This was a family vacation. Philippe is very knowledgeable, informative and passionate about Catalunya. We received a great overview of the area and also learned about Three Kings day. He was at Green Bike well before the tour began and gave us his full attention. We appreciate Philippe coming out during the Spanish holiday! The bike tour allowed us to see a lot of Barcelona. We always felt safe under his direction and the city is set up for bicycling.Would do it again.

What a guy, gave a great tour, really knows his stuff, he can change it up based on your knowledge, I know a fair amount about the civil war and I learned a lot more. Philippe provided intriguing stories about Gaudi, interesting information about the history of Catalunya, and helpful insight into the culture and perspectives of the locals. We are a family of 5 from Hong Kong and enjoy learning something from the locals every time we visit a new place. We found many good reviews of Philippe's private 2hr cooking class but we thought 2hr might be a bit too rush if our children want to enjoy plenty of cooking as well as a good moment for all of us to enjoy the meal together with Philippe. I communicate with Philippe and am glad that he is responsive and is willing to accommodate our needs. We did a 3-hour session of a traditional Catalan home cooking, including pa amb tomaquet, padron peppers, tortella de patatas, paella and crema catalana. It was a great fun for our children. Philippe was very thoughtful, carefully balancing the time needed for cooking and a pace which the children can enjoy themselves in the process. It was a big portion for all of us and Philippe was impressed that we can finish the food and nothing went to the bin. (to readers: be reminded to go with an empty stomach) Philippe had also shared his life and adventure with us during the meal and we appreciate our great time with such a nice person.A wonderful experience of Catalonia

Not much more to be said that hasn’t already been raved about. Philippe was a wonderful host to myself, my wife and our 5 year old. His home is beautiful, an alluring layout that is tastefully decorated. As for Philippe himself, he was patient, kind, and encouraging to our child, who is usually quite shy. The icing (or fire in this case) on the cake was our son learning to use the blow torch for the Creama Catalana caramel. Definitely a highlight of the trip! A MUST when in Barcelona

The class felt rushed, kinda of aggressive, not geared towards children or families ( philippe actually said the class wasn’t for children) even through that is in the title of the class. He made our entire family feel uncomfortable. His home where you cook was so hot we would barely breathe. Never offered us water. Then rushed us out minutes before the class was up. He also seemed that this was just something he does vs. bring remotely interested in cooking or any background in culinary at all. I would not recommend taking this class. Not exsctly a comfortable environment

Philippe made our trip. He is such a knowledgeable guide, giving not only my wife and I but our 9 & 13 y/o sons lots of fascinating facts about Barcelona's history as well as the Catalan culture. My 13 y/o son had Fideuà as per his suggestion and loved it. My 9 year old can't stop telling people the difference between Japanese & Chinese dragons - 3 or 5?!? We all enjoyed a cup of the best hot chocolate ever at Museu de la Xocolata too. Overall, Philippe kept us all thoroughly engaged throughout the whole tour. We choose the dragon-tour as we have a 5YO and Philippe made the tour exciting for him and us at the same time. When the 5YO got too tired/hungry/warm to continue, Philippe quickly changed focus and made sure that the remaining part of the tour was interesting for an adult and a 16YO.
