My mom and I were fortunate to have Beata for 2 tours - the 10 tastings, and Szentendre. Beata was so great - adjusting things to accommodate our jet lag, and catering both tours to our specific likes. She is very personable, extremely well versed in English, and went to great pains to explain the transit system as we were very nervous about using it. Looking back on my visit to Budapest, had I not booked the tour with Beata, I frankly would not have enjoyed myself. She made my visit interesting, informative, and most importantly, fun. She exposed me to all the coolest places in town, so I had no reason to waste time and bad judgement trying to do the same myself. The only thing bad about the tour was I didn't book it for long enough. We had four hours, but I wish we had 10!! I would recommend Beata in a New York second (especially since I'm from NYC). Don't leave Budapest without seeing her!!!!Beata's tour was the highlight of my visit

We had a fantastic experience on Beata’s vegan food tour! Despite us unintentionally arriving late, she was incredibly gracious and welcoming. Beata was a fun and knowledgeable guide who curated a great mix of stops—we especially loved the vegan restaurant she introduced us to. Two members of our group are meat eaters, and she was able to accommodate their preferences within the market, which they appreciated. What really stood out was how Beata tailored the tour to our unique interests. She pointed out hidden gems like the Kolodko mini statue, highlighted beautiful architecture, historical sites, and local murals. She gave us choices throughout the tour and made the experience feel personal and engaging. Even after the tour ended, Beata stayed in touch and answered follow-up questions we had. My wife and I had arrived earlier in the afternoon, and had a scheduled a tour with Bea in the early evening. She was the perfect introduction to Budapest, helping to orient us both on the major sites and on some of the nooks and crannies - the lessor known sites - and enabling us to navigate our way around for the balance of our visit. Beata is a lovely, knowledgeable resident who organized our vegan food tour to our exact tastes and physical abilities after being awake for 21 hours! She answered all of our questions with detailed answers. The choices of the restaurants and tastings were so delicious we ended up going back to several places multiple times. Her knowledge of Hungarian history was what we wanted to know as well. We fell in love with Budapest and will be back and use Beata again. Beata was an amazing guide, we had already been in Budapest for a couple of days so she on the spot changed the tour to suit where we hadn’t eaten & seen. This was one of the best tours I’ve embarked upon in my life. Beata was a professional through and through - we had major flight delays arriving into Budapest and would have missed our originally scheduled tour. She was gracious enough to rebook us later in the weekend. The entire testing tour was a bespoke experience and customized on the fly to suit our tastes and appetites as the day went on. Beata took us to her favorite spots and you could see how much passion she has for her country and their cuisine. Beata worked hard to give us a wonderful two days of the highlights of Budapest . A first day was a five hour tour where we went slowly and saw the highlights. She explained history, architecture, and with infectious enthusiasm, made us feel right at home in her city. The second day was a fantastic tour lasting little over three hours of the cuisine of the Hungarian culture. This worked out very well, and was extremely filling. Overall,Beata is an experienced, charming, and flexible guide. Whatever you desire to see, she will find a way, and make it most enjoyable. Book Beata as a guide! That's the summary. The long version is: we have been to Hungary and Budapest already a few times so, we know the classic stuff. And Beata added nice local hidden gems to the tour, looked for less obvious stuff - even if it was a detour. It was wonderful being hosted for the day by Beata. She was a delight and full of interesting information on a range of topics relating to the city and the country. We walked to the various locations then travelled by tram and the Metro, which was impressive. Later we enjoyed a delicious lunch in an established, authentic Hungarian restaurant that I would never have found, where the service was professional and friendly. The price was extremely reasonable. Our tour was, without doubt, the highlight of my short trip and a very happy memory. I was so sorry our time had to end! Don’t hesitate- just book this! A treat. I was traveling solo to Budapest so wanted to book a local guide to show me around. I chose Beata for a 5-hour tour. I chatted with her prior to the tour to let her know that I had injured my foot so would need to take it easy. It was supposed to rain that day, but Beata assured me we would still have fun. She even offered to meet me at my hotel. From the minute she arrived, I felt very comfotable with her. She was very easy to talk to. She took me to all the places I wanted to see and to some hidden gems. We stopped to try a langosh and beer. The whole time she asked me how I was doing, mindful of my injured foot. Beata was a wonderful host: welcoming, funny and knowledgeable. The tour was a fantastic journey, eating market delicacies such as strudel, salami, honey and of course paprika! But we were delighted to be taken to a restaurant for food and wine also, as well as being given lots of information about Budapest and Magyar culture, history and society more generally. My 16 year old son loved the street art, the ruin bar and the chimney cake the most; my husband and myself enjoyed the goulash and the conversation. Please don’t hesitate to book Beata for this tour as it is such a warm and insightful way to experience Budapest. I have offered to share our local delicacy (the Staffordshire oatcake) with Beata if she’s ever in the UK but somehow I don’t think it will compare! ;)Perfect food and conversation!

She took us for some of the best local cuisine in the area, starting with tapas and wine. She even took note of my partners birthday and arranged a small treat for her, which I really appreciated.
