Great tour! Just our party of 4 with our tour guide Mydie who was wonderful! We did a leisurely tour for 3 hours with lots of great food and lots of great history. We had a wonderful experience with Derek! After sharing that we’d been to the city before and were really interested in seeing some truly unique locations, we gave Derek a free pass to take us anywhere he’d like. He did not disappoint. We saw some really interesting spots and learned lots of fun facts that we didn’t know…even about some of the Dublin icons we had visited already. Art, history, food, music, whatever! You name it and he seemed to know a lot of obscure but super interesting trivia! We had a really fun time seeing Derek’s side of Dublin and appreciated the time he spent with us. Our private food tour with Mydie was wonderful. She is personable and fun, and we felt like we were with an old friend. Walking around the city and going to several different food places on both the North and South sides of Dublin, was very interesting. We got to sample meat pies and cider, fish and chips, some very yummy fudge and chocolates and of course, to top it all off, delicious ice cream. It was a great day and we hated for it to end. This is extremely disappointing as I reserved this food walking tour in April and I arrived this morning in Ireland for the first time looking forward to this experience. Had I known this was a scam, I would have booked something through TripAdvisor but was hoping to support local. What a horrible let down. Waited for over 45 mins for an individual that never showed up and never communicated any alternatives. So far this company has been has been inattentive with regards to any follow through with a refund or explanation. What a scam and a horrible first day experience in Ireland. Scam

There are two sides to this story. First, Mydie was a delight! As you will read below, she made this tour happen for us and we are grateful. She was knowledgeable about the general history of the country, that tied beautifully to the stories about the food. She made it feel like we were sharing food among friends. Thank you, Mydie for a great day with full bellies!!!! The first thing we look for when we travel is taking a food tour….highly recommend! We were very excited to add Dublin to our list. Booking months in advance, we were very disappointed that the tour was cancelled a few days in prior with no explanation. We had planned a lot of the trip around this. I went back to the website to see if anyone else was available. They were not. I decided to reach out directly to Mydie. She sowed she was available an hour earlier than our preferred time, but not our time. Being this was our arrival day, I did not have the flexibility to start earlier. She immediately responded to me and said she could make it happen! I was hesitant to try again, but we are so grateful we did. The experience with the tour company was bumpy, but Mydie (who had nothing to do with the scheduling issue) came through with a wonderful tour! The Classic Irish Pub Tour with Derek was a nice way to end our visit to Ireland. The first pub had a trio playing traditional Irish music. The next two pubs had guitarists singing Irish folk songs. I chose a different brand of beer in each pub. We got along well with Derek and enjoyed his choice of pubs. My wife surprisingly heard and sang along to a song she learned at summer camp 60 years ago. Without Derek as a guide, I doubt we would have enjoyed our last night in Ireland like we did.Great evening of drinks and music
