Polly was the absolute best tour guide we could have picked for a full day private tour guide experience to Ayutthaya. Here's why: 1) Great communication starting with the booking details and throughout the tour itself. 2) Had all the details sorted out and was very organized, and even brought us snacks and water! 3) Incredible knowledge and passion for sharing Thai culture and history and information about Thai-style Buddhism. 4) SUPER caring and kind - Polly went out of her way to help us with a cell phone issue we encountered (that had nothing to do with the tour) - we can't thank her enough for this <3 She also made sure we were comfortable and customized the private tour experience for us. 5) Took lots of pictures throughout the tour - some of which are my favorites from my whole vacation. 6) Made us feel like we were seeing added cool stuff - some of the little tucked away details and spots not all tour guides bring people to. 7) Provided opportunities for us to respectfully participate in several little activities at the temples. 8) Comfy private car and driver. I assumed we'd just be in a taxi, but we actually had a driver for the day. 9) Prepared with digital maps, illustrations, and photographs to enhance our knowledge as she taught us about aspects of Thai history and culture. 10) Very professional. Polly was very nice. She was informative and told us a lot of things about kings and dates (I.e. history book simple facts). Would have liked more information on how people lived, what they did when wars broke out, how their lives changed, etc. ruins were interesting but the restoration of them disheartening. We booked a day for 4 people in private van. It was very small for our tall family. Traffic was terrible and we arrived back in Bangkok an hour later than we scheduled. The cost was $450 which was way way too much to spend on this dayNce day

We spent a wonderful day touring Ayutthaya with Saravarint. She is very knowledgeable about the history of Ayutthaya and told us about the history of the temples and Thailand. We had a beautiful day with Sudarat. Visiting the Temple and ruins in Attutaya provided a great view into life in Thailand, past and present. From feeding the fish and learning about the blend of religious observances in the temples to an utterly delicious lunch on the river, we could not have asked for a better day. She and our driver took care of everything so we could just take in all the sights and smells. Our children also really enjoyed the whole day, finding something at each sight to enjoy. Out of 10, this trip was an 11!A day to remember

We had a wonderful day with Sudarat visiting the Ayuthaya Historical Park. We chose a 7.30am start which worked so well! The car was very comfy, and Sudurat gave us heaps of information and answered hundreds of questions with a smile on her face all day. The tour is well balanced, plenty to do but not rushed. We had lunch at a lovely reasonably priced seafood restaurant by the river. I really enjoyed the boat ride on the river, as well as learning a lot more about Thai culture, history and Buddhism. It was really lovely to see lots of Thai locals out and about in the holiday season - dressing up in their traditional cosutumes for photos, and causing traffic jams waiting for special roti! A great day trip with Saravarint!!! She hired a great driver in a very comfortable vehicle. She was very open to adjusting tour times to meet my timetable. And she suggested times and changes to trip to arrive on river tour at sunset with touring the river by night to temple sights open and illuminated at night. She and her driver took me too local restaurants with local delicacies. It didn't feel like taking a tour but hanging out with a local cousin showing me the sites.Great Adventure

Polly was very knowledgeable about the sites and a lovely guide. It was tremendously hot and she was steadfast in preparing herself to do the full Ayutthaya tour for us until we let her know we were exhausted with the heat (37, felt like 46 degrees in a heat wave) and really needed to limit it; she adjusted well according to our needs. She took about 100 photos for us along the way so that we could enjoy the sites without having to take our own.Adapted well, very knowledgeable

Der Ausflug nach Ayutthaya und zu dem schwimmenden Markt und Eisenbahnmarkt vergingen wie im Flug. Es waren so schöne Erlebnisse, woran Donald den größten Teil dazu beigetragen hat. Polly was the perfect hostess for my day trip to Ayutthaya. She informed me of the time and meeting point before the trip. Polly was very punctual. The journey took over an hour. As a group of three, we wanted to have an immersive experience while we were visiting Thailand and Bangkok. We checked many websites and services that had tours and we settled upon withlocals. We were able to select our guide for the tours we wanted and we were blessed to be able to find Araya. She was so amazing. We booked her for a tour each day we were available for a total of five tours. Everything from the ancient city to grand palace to hidden gems and markets. We did everything we could. She was such a wealth of information about everything. She made our time with her fly by and it never was dull moment. Through our discussions, she was so helpful in making our experience memorable she would make suggestions that help us avoid the more “touristy” offerings for better experiences and was able to, on one occasion, help arrange a private audience with a temple monk for a teaching and blessing. We cannot say enough great and amazing words about Araya. If we ever get back to Bangkok, we will definitely be reconnecting and building new memories with her.Completely amazing

Moddy was exactly as advertised; she was well-organized, informative, attentive, and answered every last question we had on our day tour with her to Ayutthaya. The tour included a private, comfortable A/C van (with a friendly and safe driver). Moddy also brought us to a delicious local restaurant on the river — a spot we never would have discovered on our own. It was one of our best meals while in Thailand. Having done a fair bit of online research, I came across Big and, reading the raving reviews, opted for a day tour of Ayutthaya and a floating market tour with him. It’s always a bit of a gamble but this time we felt as we’d won the lottery. Big was absolutely excellent. Having grown up and worked in the US whilst also being Thai and living more latterly in Bangkok, he was able to provide valuable context to history and cultural aspects we simply wouldn’t have had anywhere else. He’s a really fun guy with a great sense of humour and it felt like hanging out with a mate. Big didn’t only tell us about the sights and history but introduced us to local food and customs and took us for lunch at a restaurant which seemed authentic (no other tourists, except us) which was great, yummy food too. He’s a bit of a polymath, I think, as he seems to know something about most things, including European and British history. The kids (aged 13 and 16) loved the tour and were engaged throughout. We spent the day with Ms. Polly, an excellent tour guide, and Mr. Pop, an impeccable driver. They picked us up at the hotel with a cool, new black car. Polly made the trip very enjoyable explaining all sort of details from Bangkok and the regions we were going through. One of the first things she said was that she would probably be able to answer 99% of the questions and then Google the 1% left: we bombarded her with questions all day and she was able to answer 100% of them! She was also very attentive from the get go: I asked a question at the beginning of the trip, she answered something related and we discussed for 15 on some other topic. Then, when there was some (natural) silence during the trip she remembered that she hadn’t answered my original question and answered it proactively, showing how much she was involved instead of just passively waiting during the trip to Ayutthaya! The trip was very well planned out, very beautiful and diverse visits of temples and nature. The driver was always waiting at the perfect spot, we never had to wait for him, we felt treated like royalty! Polly also has a good English so it was easy to follow her explanations, even with her covid mask. Polly was always proactively explaining the history of Ayutthaya and Thailand more broadly, and answering all our questions with patience and good humor. We were then brought for lunch to a place that felt a bit touristy, but not too much, with good river views and had some time on our own. Polly kindly shifted the trip 1h because I asked her to see the sunset in Ayutthaya, which we got lucky (she mentioned it can’t be seen some days because of fog) and got to enjoy! That meant we came back during the night. The driver still felt super safe and calm. I was very tired, but my partner and, particularly, Polly were not, and she kept answering all our questions and explaining more and more interesting things until the very last minute! Finally, Polly made lots and lots of great pictures, and she knew where to take particularly-beautiful ones. After the trip, she sent them all on Whatsapp. I asked her to send them to Google Photos and she kindly redid it all again twice, as there was an initial tech problem. I had already paid her and everything, yet she still went the extra mile. Before the trip we were concerned we had spent too much money, as it indeed is a bit pricey, but after an exceptional day with Polly, we think it was totally worth it!Great and insightful day with Polly!

We had the pleasure of being guided around Ayutthaya with Khun Akarin. Khun Akarin is an excellent guide. His standard of English is terrific. He has an extensive vocabulary and he is a skilled communicator both written and spoken. Every email I sent him was answered promptly and with valuable information. This was not our first time to Thailand and it was our 3rd trip to Ayutthaya. Khun Akarin just took the tour to another level. He took us to places we had not previously seen and deepened our knowledge of Thai history and culture. We will always be able to identify a Thai ordination hall (and a royal ordination hall). I'm not going to steal his thunder and tell you how. ;) Khun Akarin arrived early to our hotel and the driver and car he had arranged for us were just fantastic. We could not have been better looked after. The day went far too quickly. If you want someone who can really get you an insight into what you are seeing, I recommend Khun Akarin highly. Someone once said to me that visiting sites without a guide was like seeing a movie without the sound. Khun Akarin proves the point. We got the benefit of the full soundtrack.
