The tour is well designed, showing the main sights in a reasonable time. At 35+ degrees (as it was on the day we did it) it would be hard to see more. Oun was knowledgsble and spoke good English. He pointed out some good photo opportunities, which I appreciated. Water snd cold towels were provided after each stop, which was very thoughtful. The only niggle I have is that I missed a structured description of the history of the place.Good guidance through spectacular sights

Long is the man! He is VERY knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. He told us the history of the different temples and was patient when we asked questions. Since he is a former school teacher, you can really tell he has a passion for teaching. In the morning, Long met us at our hotel on time and knew the best spot for seeing the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Throughout the tour, he took great pics of us in scenic spots and his tuk tuk driver always had cold water available. He was a pleasure to talk to when traveling between temples and we learned about Cambodia and its more recent history. He gave us many good restaurants to try and even a recommendation for a private driver to Phnom Penh. We had a great day with Long at the Angkor Wat temples and during the sunrise tour. He gave us new insights into the temples by explaining the history and importance and was very kind and considerate along the way. Long knew all the great spots to take photos and offered to make plenty of them. He also gave great insight into modern day Cambodia and how the locals live by talking about his own experiences. Communication was easy through WhatsApp and he was on time on both days we were going on a trip with him. The tuktuk was also great, they always had cold water waiting for us whenever we left the temples (it was needed, it was very hot). We had the best experience of Angkor Wat solely because of our tour guide, Long. He is extremely knowledgeable of the history and culture of not only Angkor Wat but also Siem Reap. He was very accommodating with our schedule and made sure we were able to see all the temples we requested and more. John shared his extensive knowledge with us exploring the major temples of Angkor Wat. He is also a great picture taker, angling our way into the best photo spots and taking lots of pictures for us. After about 5-6 hours of exploring, we were hot and tired. John kindly asked us if we wanted more small temples or to go directly to the last major temple. We opted to go to the major temple but I know John would have been happy to continue showing us around longer. Would definitely recommend John for a day at Angkor Wat.Great day with John

It was well worth getting a private guide for the Angkor Wat experience. Oun was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed his company. He managed to avoid the worst of the tour groups and we saw so much more of the area than expected. The lunch venue was very busy but so efficient that we were served a delicious meal within 10 minutes. An exhausting day as it was extremely hot with a lot of walking and steep steps. The iced towels and water in the tuk-tuk were a godsend. Thank you Oun

Oun is a friendly, happy and knowledgeable guide. He picked us up at our hotel and we traveled safely in a very comfortable tuk tuk to the temples. Oun knew the ways to avoid the crowds and where to find shade and great photo opportunities. Cool towels and bottled water made a hot day very bearable. Wir sind rundum zufrieden und hatten eine super nette Zeit mit Uon. Die Planung hat Uon flexibel verändert so dass wir weitestgehend wenig andere Touristen gesehen haben und wir waren auch sehr gut mit Wasser versorgt. We had a fantastic day exploring Angkor Wat with Oun. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much about the history of the temples, Cambodian culture, and even his own life. His insights made our visit much more meaningful. Despite the heat and a long day of walking, he kept our daughter engaged by pointing out wildlife around the temples and telling interesting stories. He was patient, fun to talk to, and made sure we all had a great time. He also took some wonderful pictures of us, which we really appreciate! Lux demonstrated excellent knowledge about Cambodia, which is the main reason for the three-star rating. His expertise on the country's history and culture was evident throughout the tour. However, several aspects of the experience were disappointing: 1. Pacing & Guidance style: The tour felt rushed, with Lux constantly hurrying us along. This made it difficult to fully appreciate the sights and take in the atmosphere. Lux often walked ahead of the group, which made it challenging to hear explanations or ask questions. A more inclusive approach would have been preferable. 2. Tour duration: Despite paying for a private tour, Lux cut the experience short by two hours. This was particularly frustrating as there were numerous interesting temples within easy reach that we could have explored. 3. Value for money: Given the premium price paid for a private tour, the overall experience fell short of expectations. While Lux's knowledge was commendable, the tour's execution left much to be desired. For future visitors, I would recommend seeking a guide who balances expertise with better time management and a more attentive approach to their clients' needs.Yay and nay and the same time

Oun responded promptly to my messages and was waiting for us at our hotel reception ready to start the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of all the temples we visited and also gave us interesting information on the history of Cambodia. What was really good about having Oun as our guide is that he took his very nice, quality camera and took many photos of us which he shared with us via a card reader at the end of the tour. The photos were great, far better than the ones we took as we only had mobiles. I would definitely recommend Oun as he is everything you need in a tour guide and with the photos he took he offers even more. Excellent tour guide

We were on our second trip to Angkor Thom and so wanted to see some of the quieter temples. We’d had some suggested to us by a family member and asked Long if he could tailor a tour for these to last for about 4 hours. Long took us on a fantastic tour of the temples we wanted to see. He’d obviously prepared well as he shared lots of information and background to each one. He also gave us a good insight into Cambodian life and was the perfect guide. Wir hatten einen tollen Tag mit Oun. Er war bereits 20 Minuten vor der vereinbarten Zeit am Hotel und so konnten wir entspannt unsere Tour starten. Dank seiner guten Englisch-Kenntnisse war die Kommunikation sehr einfach. Er zeigte uns die schönsten Ecken, suchte nach passenden Fotospots und erzählte uns ganz viel zur Geschichte von Kambodscha. Es war ausreichend Wassr und vor allem eisgekühlte Erfrischungstücher vorhanden. Leider war die Zeit viel zu schnell vorbei. Dorn is an increasibly knowledgable, easygoing and fun guide. The stories and history that he told us were super interesting. For every question that we had, Dorn had a story to tell behind it. We couldn't have wished for a better guide to visit the temples and watch the sunset. Mr. Long was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and the entire day was smooth and perfectly organised. Where most other groups seemed to be moving through important sections of the temples quickly, Mr. Long made sure to give us all the context needed to really appreciate the history depicted. His storytelling skills made it all the more fascinating. To top it all off, we ended the day with incredible photos kindly taken by Mr.Long who knows all the best spots :) Before the tour, he was very responsive; we had many questions and queries and he patiently answered each one and customised the tour as needed.
