We decided to take a tour with Cesar instead of booking an excursion through our cruise line and it was awesome! We went to the Bellver Castle followed by a walking tour in town where we learned quite a bit about Palma de Mallorca's history and culture. We’ve traveled extensively over the past two decades—on every continent except Australia (so far)—and have had well over 100 tour guides, including more than 40 through Withlocals. In my work as a global health researcher, I’ve also had countless encounters across cultures and countries. And I can say, without hesitation: Cesar is the best tour guide we have ever had. His knowledge of Mallorca was both expansive and precise—not just facts, but stories that brought the island to life. He shared fascinating historical and contemporary insights into the island’s people, society, and geography with remarkable depth and clarity. We did two tours with Cesar. The first took us to the Drach Caves, with a stop at Nadal’s Tennis Academy and lunch at a fantastic local (non-touristy) restaurant. The second was a 1/2 day trip to Valldemossa and Deià. While the destinations were beautiful, what made the experience unforgettable was Cesar himself. Cesar is not only a tour guide—he’s an active commercial pilot, flying to/from London 2-3 days/week (!), a published novelist, a songwriter, and a person with a rich and inspiring family history. He even played us some of his own musical recordings during the drive, and they were truly exceptional. We arrived to Palma Mallorca from our cruise ship. Cesar was our tour guide, he gave us such a pleasant tour, we walked through the streets were he show us around while giving us an incredible background of history and culture. Passed by a few churches, visited Turk Baths a Santa Clara Monastery and visited the beautiful Cathedral. He gave us some tips of places to eat and shop. We truly recommend Cesar. I booked this introduction to Palma experience as my sister and I were making our first visit to Palma and were only staying for the weekend - so we couldn't afford to waste time in the wrong parts of town! Suzanne did a great job of pointing out key details of paintings ands sculptures in the huge Prado museum that we would have otherwise missed. She shared some interesting details about the artists as well. I should also mention that she got us tickets and we were able to avoid the long lines and enter through a side door. We did a walking tour on Highlights and Hidden Gems of Palma de Mallorca with Cesar. I can't say enough about how great it was. Cesar will give you history, details, connections with our own countries, and personal details I can't believe you could get anywhere else. It was absolutely fascinating. He clearly loves his city and is passionate about sharing it. We saw more and learned more in a few hours than relatives who spent several days there! Cesar is also one of the kindest people you can meet. In fact he feels like a friend as soon as you meet him. He was so good with my adopted Mom who was in a wheelchair. I expected there would be more to eat, but it turned out to be just enough in the end anyway. We tasted a few things, got some ideas of what to eat later by ourselves, saw many nice spots in central Palma and got to hear even more interesting stories. Cesar is a treasure. Warm, energetic, and filled with affection for his adopted city, he brought the city to life for our family of five. Cesar arranged a fabulous one day excursion for our party of 8. The caves are truly a natural wonder, and it was not crowded. The horseback riding at Cala Ratjada was enjoyed by 5, while 3 of us went to the local castle and then went to a great little restaurant for a drink and a snack. We all then went to another local restaurant for lunch which was fabulous. Local food, local people made it a real fabulous experience. Off to wine tasting at Miquel Oliver, which was fun, educational and again fabulous. Then on a return we stopped in Palma for a quick walking tour of the downtown . Cesar is a great host , he is knowledgeable of the area and its history, which makes the tour a superb way to spent the day. Highest recommendation The Best

Natalia is a passionate and energetic guide, clearly beloved by her community and excited to share it with us. We started at Santa Catarina market where Natalia knew almost every vendor. We got to try numerous different items including sandwiches, tortilla, croquettes, and different types of alcohol (if we wanted). We then proceeded to walk and eat our way around Palma, stopping at places only a local would know about. We finished the trip at an incredible bakery, tasting a variety of sweet and savory foods and drinking hot chocolate. Even though it was pouring rain, we had an incredible time. Natalia was so excited because the gargoyles on the churches were all spitting water, which she said almost never happens. I recently experienced The Ultimate Drach Caves Day Trip with Cesar in Majorca, and it was truly outstanding and an unforgettable experience.
