We had such a fun and informative day with Artty - what a great way to start the trip! He is incredibly sweet and we learned so much about the Palace and Thai culture and history. Like others have said, he magically appears with tickets, water, etc and knows all the best shady spots! The day is whatever you want it to be - Artty took us to another local temple and a street market (where we ate at an amazing local restaurant!) and then showed us the way back to our hotel. Some in our group had been to the Palace before but we all learned so much and had a lovely time with Artty. Can’t recommend him enough!Great day at the Grand Palace with Artty!

Andy was an amazing guide on our tour of The Royal Palace and Reclining Budha. He organised a convenient start time with clear instructions on where to meet and how we could travel there on the river. He has such in depth knowledge about palace and the Budha and shared this with us in an engaging way. Thip was truly wonderful. Informative, warm, kind, funny, considerate, well organized and yet flexible. We opted for the Grand Palace Tour, and adjacent tour of the golden reclining buddha. Thip was impeccably knowledgeable, incredibly personable, and clearly got us in and around through the palace, walking circles around other tour guides that were caught in crowds, eddies, and lines. After the tour, Thip took us to an absolutely amazing lunch nearby -- a Michelin-rated local spot -- that was the best meal we had in Thailand, full stop. Book a tour with Thip. She's the best. First impressions pave the way for your entire day (and in some ways your entire trip) and as soon as we met Artty we knew we had made the best choice. First a ‘settling in’ with a trip to a market selling Buddhist artefacts, relaxing us in his company and building a much-needed picture of Thai culture. Artty’s knowledge was vast as we went around the Grand Palace, he knew the cool shady spots to stop and talk and found just the perfect balance between telling bits of history but not ‘rambling on’. Moving on we had choices. This was our tour and after discussion, we went to an area in Wat Po area where we sampled some amazing street food, followed by a superb lunch in a local eatery. We were literally amongst the locals. Artty then shared useful tips and advice for our next few days in Bangkok alone, and said he would send some info which he did within a few hours. It’s very difficult to know who to pick from an account of somebody on a web site but don’t worry, we’ve done the work for you. You won’t be disappointed with Artty! Artty is fun and a great storyteller. He met us at a designated spot, explained to us the importance of Buddhism in Thailand whilst taking us through the market street, leading towards the Grand Palace. Artty is very knowledgeable. Akarin has so much knowledge and experience, which he happily shares through a warm conversational style. It felt more like touring with an extremely well informed friend as we made our way through the many areas and temples. He was also extremely accommodating with my reduced physical abilities. A truly wonderful experience. Akarin knows all the best angles for great photos and expertly navigates any crowded areas. Akarin was a fantastic guide. He has incredible knowledge of the stories behind all the wall paintings The Royal Palace. They suddenly came alive. He has in depth historical knowledge of all the Palace buildings & despite the crowds he was able to guide us through the passages, terraces & colonnades & even found historical areas that no one else visited. He went out of his way to incorporate ferry rides, a Tuk Tuk ride & the vast gold reclining Buddha into our busy session with him. His English is excellent & as if that was not enough he teaches, lectures & perform Thai dance. We highly recommend him as a guide.

We engaged Sammy for a half day tour. This is not our first time in Bangkok but our first visit to the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha. Sammy planned the tour extremely well by providing us important information about Buddhist temples at the start of the tour, prior to getting to Wat Phra Kaew. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide. Sammy was also very thoughtful ensuring that we stayed hydrated in the heat of summer. He took us to a shaded area and braved the heat to queue for cold mineral water for us. We enjoyed the tour and will certainly recommend him to friends visiting Thailand.A fabulous visit!

So much fun on our food tour with Chef Hnoi. It was awesome to explore the local markets and street food. We ate at many locations that only the true locals would go for food. Everything was so good and we were able to eat many new and some not new to us dishes. A very relaxed walking tour to get great food along the way. Chef Hnoi tailored the tastings to what we wanted and introduced us to new dishes. Thank you again Chef Hnoi for the great food from where you grew up. Nusara communicated with us throughout the process, met up with us early and spotted us across the road, and from the minute she met us, she made us feel relaxed. She was very knowledgeable and took us around the palace at our own pace, we had lots of photos. Saravant wanted us to meet her near the temples.We asked her to meet us at our hotel and we agreed to pay for her transportation. She agreed in writing. Then, on the morning of the tour she did not show up at our hotel. I sent her several emails and her only response was that she would only meet us at the original meeting point. So we got a cab and went to look for her. We found her in about an hour. Being well travelled, I was hesitant about needing a tour guide to see a palace. Boy, was I wrong. Moddy is kind, patient, enthusiastic, inconceivably knowledgeable, funny, charismatic, and someone I want to hang out with. The depth of her knowledge about Thailand is astonishing. She lives and breathes this culture. If she didn’t have places to take us and things to show us I feel like we could’ve talked for hours. My only complaint is that I didn’t book a longer tour. We visited Wat Pho a few days before booking our day with Moddy thinking we didn’t need a guide. Afterwards we thought it’d be a nice add on to a day at the Grand Palace. It was above and beyond what we expected. Moddy took great care to show us around this special place. We spent time with the Emerald Buddha learning about the story of the Buddha and the importance of these rituals. Then she took us on a very special tour of the grounds, showing us the murals and telling us inside scoops we would never have understood on our own as westerners. She tied everything she told us together in the Museum of the Emerald Buddha- every story and detail from the previous hours connected to the details in the museum. She took the extra step of making sure we had the best seats possible for the Kohn show at the end. Moddy’s energy was unbelievable and her insights made the day so special. An unforgettable day in an unforgettable place thanks to our wonderful guide. All this to say, if you’re not sure you need a guide…you do and it should be Moddy.Informative, fun, energetic

Me and my husband did a tour of the Grand palace with Chef Hnoi. How lucky we were to have found her! Not only is Chef Hnoi knowledgeable, smart, humorous and caring, but she is very passionate about sharing Thai culture and history, which makes all the difference. The time we spent with her was incredible and she is an amazing guide. You would think that her first language is English and she lived away from Thailand for many years which also provides a refreshing perspective. Not only did we have a wonderful time with Chef Hnoi she even recommended me to her acupuncturist as I had injured my knee. I can't recommend Chef Hnoi and this tour enough. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to do other tours with her. Thank you Chef Hnoi for the amazing time we spent together.
