We made a booking with somebody else to bring us to the Oracle of Delphi. But last minute we got a message that our selected guide was not available and that Thomas would fill in. And this turned out to be a good thing! Thomas is a great guide and a relaxed driver. He speaks excellent English (lived in the UK for 10 years) and is very keen to make your day special! He asked what we wanted to see and when we wanted to see it. He brought us not only to Delphi, but also to lovely small villages with awesome views. He told us about the Greeks, the history and about present life in Greece. He has a very comfortable car, and we were lucky to taste his mothers olive cake! A few tips: Leave early, about 8 or 8.30h, go first to Delphi and than to the rest of the villages, and the last one: let Thomas order your lunch, you will eat like the Greeks do!Hidden gems of Thomas

I am travelling through Greece with my 15 year old daughter. We booked a tour from Athens to Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon. Nikos was an excellent guide - at the end we felt we had a new friend. He is a polymath - with multiple degrees and interests, currently completing a degree in Archeology. He was a wealth of information and presented it in a very engaging way for both myself and my daughter. We had asked to spend some time outdoors in nature and he took us to two sites which were outstandingly beautiful and significant - we would never have known about these places on our own. He was very kind to my daughter, always making sure she was comfortable and included. We can't speak highly enough - this was really a perfect day in a beautiful part of the world. Perfect day

I am travelling from Australia with my 15 year old daughter. We took a tour to Mycenae, Napflio and Epidavros with Ioannis. It was a fantastic day. The sites themselves are beautiful but there are many other tours that go to the same places. The difference for us was having Ioannis as our guide. He made the day very interesting for both of us and also went out of his way to be kind to my daughter - even insisting on taking her to the best gelato place. We both found him warm, funny and a wonderful guide. When I asked my daughter how I should rate this tour she said "Give Ioannis 11 out of 10"!Wonderful day

Ioannis is passionate about his Athenian knowledge and carefully listens to your own interests.He explains that he is a court lawyer and actor by profession. He communicates politely and professionally to understand our wishes for the tour. We talked about what we had experienced already and skilfully Ioannis worked out that we were interested in art and modern politics. We are Scottish and he had interesting insights when comparing our legal systems for instance. Our conversation varied widely using the starting point of the Athenian archeology we walked past. We progressed to modern Greek art by visiting hidden spaces an art cooperative we would never have found. Next we were debating graffiti as art as we walked up the Plaka houses beneath the Acropolis walls with a fascinating story about their origins. He found hidden fresco details which again we would never found without Ioannis. We walked back down through the maze of small streets and markets. Again he skilfully guided us with our interests in mind. At each step of the way he was knowledgable and had an infectious enthusiasm for his local culture. We were returned to near our hotel in a master stroke at a bar called Noel. He understood our enthusiasm for whacky art! What a wonderful man and experience. A real privilege to meet Ioannis. His English is impeccable. Unique insights into Athenian culture

Thomas did a fabulous job sharing Athens' history and his favorite parts of the city. We many of the historical sites, with historical context in a way that our group of nine (including 5 tween/teens!) really appreciated. From sharing delicious New Year's treats, a perfect lunch spot, and ending at golden hour with incredible views of the city, the full day with Thomas will always be with us. Ioannis was very kindly able to accommodate us when we had a problem with our flight and were delayed by a day and I was worried we were going to lose our different bookings we had planned. He offered to move it to the next day and adapt the time to fit with another booking (for the Acropoli) we already had. Thanks to Ioannis we had a great time discovering some great places whether on the cultural /historical front or the food and drink front! We were able to see places and areas we probably would have missed had we not been with someone local. We spent Christmas in Athens and wanted one day outside the city. We chose the trip to Cape Sounion and Nikos because of his interest in history and archaeology. Because of the time of the year, we were not interested in a beach stop but wanted a coastal drive and munch in a local restaurant. We also asked him to suggest anything else of interest in the area. He collected us from our hotel at 9.30 a.m. The drive to Cape Sounion was stunningly beautiful. On the way, he provided interesting information about ancient and modern Athens. He was very easy to talk to, and we enjoyed the conversation. At Sounion ,we had all the time we wanted to explore the temple precinct, soak up the atmosphere and marvel at the play of sea, distant mountains and light. Afterwards , he took us to the ancient silver mines in Lavrio. This area was new to us. Nikos gave us detailed explanations of the history of the area, the ancient mining processes and also showed us the stone theatre. Afterwards, we went to a small taverna for an excellent local. lunch . We arrived back at the hotel shortly before five. Nikos was an exceedingly pleasant and knowledgeable companion. He was thoughtful and understanding of my reduced mobility and completely fulfilled all our expectations for the day. A Perfect December Outing

de 10 proeverijen waren helaas niet verspreidt over 10 locaties. op 1 locatie kregen we al 4 gerechten. De grote wandeling waar we op gehoopt hadden werd een kleine wandeling. Daarnaast was het erg jammer dat er gevaped werd door de gids, ook tijdens het eten. Iets wat in Nederland echt niet kan of je vraagt of iemand bezwaar heeft dat er fevaped wordt. Tegenvaller dus

We had a six hour walking tour with Thomas around Athens. There was initially some confusion about the meeting point, which was our fault, but he quickly smoothed things over. He took us all around central Athens and showed us everything he possibly could and we never were made to feel time pressured. Thomas has a good knowledge of the history of Athens and unbiased insights into modern Athenian living. However, he struggles to deliver this information clearly, often stopping mid-sentence to start another as his train of thought gets carried away. We found the history he described difficult to follow, but his kindness and enthusiasm could not be faulted. Future clients may benefit from a text message the night before to exchange numbers and reiterate the meeting point. 100% effort from thomas
