Our flight into Prague arrived mid afternoon. We booked a custom tour with Hana for our arrival in Prague. We combined what could be an airport to hotel shuttle with the 'layover' tour. Hana met us at the airport and for the next few hours gave us a wonderful tour of many areas of the city. At several locations we got out of the car and walked around the sites. Hana's knowledge of the city and it's history is incredible. We also have her booked for a day trip to Kutna Hora later this week. My wife and I took the Ultimate Prague Layover Tour with Hana during our three day stay in Prague. It was a very positive experience and we would not hesitate to have Hana show us around again if we returned to Prague. Hana did an excellent job in guiding us through the highlights of Prague's history and landnarks. I enjoyed most the stories surrounding Old Town Square including the Jan Hus memorial. Hana is obviously very knowledgeable! She also showed us unusual landmarks such as the only wood house and smallest house in the Castle area, and she also brought us the highest point in Prague! This was my first time booking a tour guide through Withlocals and I am happy to say that my expectations were far exceeded. Hana went out of her way to come meet us at the airport (and even brought us chocolate!) and gave us a spectacular day of seeing the best of Prague through her eyes. Let me start by explaining our need for a private guide. We have a 20 year old with additional needs and we wanted to share Prague in a way that she could enjoy too. Hana picked us up at our hotel with a warm and friendly greeting. We drove about 1 hour to Kutná Hora. Hana provided with sufficient information about the town history and historical places without making it a history lesson. The place is quaint, old and beautifully restored. Great day trip. We stopped for lunch at a cafe restaurant overlooking the valley for drinks and food - delicious and refreshing. Visiting Kutna Hora and Nymburk with Hana (and George as driver, measurements translation expert, ...) was a superb conclusion of my visit to the Czech Republic. Hana's broad knowledge of the cultural sites and history packed the trip with insights and interesting context (including Krtek), weaving together society of the Czech Republic today with historical personalities and integrated cultural influences all the way back to prehistory. Walking through the streets of Kutna Hora, we stopped in a bakery (kolach like grandmother made) and several shops. Time to explore the cathedrals, architecture, and views was flexible and allowed me to both get key information and to quietly soak in the experience. Visiting Nymburk on the way back to Prague, where the city is celebrating 750 years following founding, was especially interesting -- the Elbe River, burnt brick fortifications, town square, and streetscapes.Culture, scenery, history, and insights

Imagine you're in a country for the first time, and Prague is amazing—of course, it's a famous tourist destination. Many of the places you visit are naturally very touristy, and you're completely fine with being treated as a tourist. But suddenly, you find yourself on a different kind of tour (and you already expect great things because the reviews are fantastic), where you're treated with such genuine interest as a person. Hana and her husband picked us up from the hotel, and honestly, I don’t even remember how long the drive to Kutná Hora was because we spent it talking about each other—our lives, kids, pets, and even the cartoons we grew up watching (being the same age group helped!). Hana was an excellent guide - we were 4 old school friends in Prague for the first time. Hana was very warm and proactive.
