My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Sintra with Luis! Although we endured some rain during the first half of the day, Luis made the best of it and enabled us to enjoy all of Sintra and the surrounding area. Luis' deep knowledge of Portuguese history is amazing, which brought the diverse background of Sintra to life for us. It was a wonderful day; he was informative, friendly, thoughtful, and pivoted to accommodate some weather changes to pack as much into the day as possible. First off, I have to say that Inêz was available within minutes as our original tour guide canceled unexpectedly. So thank you once again for filling in on such short notice. We walked through amazing neighborhoods, heard about the amazing history of Lisboa, tried Pastéis de Belém once again, and enjoyed her pointing out so many little details of structures, monuments, and the history of the city and people. She was able to answer all our curious questions and you could see that she was happy to share her favorite city she calls home with us for a few hours. She even had pointers for some of the cities that were on our itinerary next. My friend and I had a fabulous and informative 5 hour tour with Inês. She came earlier than scheduled to our hotel and then began a journey of information and fun. Miguel picked us up right on time (he was early) and was so enjoyable ! He arranged for our luggage to be transported ahead of our group to alleviate the stress of managing it throughout the tour. We saw Pena Palace and he provided the local history. He arranged the tickets and made sure we knew where to go and when to be there. We booked with Luis. Communication was good. Pedro was our actual guide he was excellent. He gave us an incredible 3 hour tour around Lisbon so interesting and informative. When we shared our itinerary with him for rest of trip he gave us tips for our whole trip! We were referencing him the entire visit. Peter was a delightful guide through the areas that were previously Jewish areas. He was extremely knowledgeable and brought pictures to help illustrate what he was explaining. Our family chose the ‘City Explorer: Obidos, Batalha, Alcobaça & Nazaré’ day trip and had a wonderful time visiting multiple sites with Stasea. All locations were extremely diverse and offered a little bit of everything. I highly recommend doing a guided tour to these locations as they are far distances from Lisboa. Stasea was extremely knowledgeable of the history, patient, kind, and also a great driver. The ages of our group ranged from 7-65 years old and everyone had a good time! I highly recommend choosing this tour if you have additional days in Lisboa and want to see different areas of the country. Great day visiting multiple sites!

My husband and I enjoyed a very informative walking tour with Peter. He conveyed his knowledge of the history of Lisbon very well, and carried a file of illustrations which helped us to see how various areas appeared in the past. A stop to try a local pastry and coffee was included, and Peter made sure that we were safe and comfortable throughout the tour. We also visited a local ceramic workshop where we witnessed the techniques used to paint designs onto the products. Some lovely pieces were available to view/purchase.
