My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful day trip to Sintra with Luis! Although we endured some rain during the first half of the day, Luis made the best of it and enabled us to enjoy all of Sintra and the surrounding area. Luis' deep knowledge of Portuguese history is amazing, which brought the diverse background of Sintra to life for us. We did the Family Friendly Lisbon tour with Rita on our second day in Lisbon and loved it. We have two boy aged 6 and 3 and while it was a lot of walking for our oldest (the youngest was in the stroller), Rita made sure to take lots of breaks and show us fun playground for the kids so they wouldn't get bored. She helped keep them entertained while educating us on the different neighborhoods of Lisbon and where to go and what to avoid. The icing on the cake was the trip to Santinis for the best gelato we ever had and I think we visited that store 4 more times while we were there. If you're going to Lisbon with kids, make sure to book a tour with Rita. PS - She also made herself available on WhatsApp for general recommendations and advice, which was a game changer when we weren't sure what to do or to go to one place vs. another.Amazing family tour - great for young kids

Sofia knows and loves Sintra! She met us at our hotel and we had a wonderful day. We went to her favorite local seafood restaurant and had sea bass caught that morning. Fantastic! A storm one week before we arrived caused major damage to trees and roads, so she had to adjust the itinerary, and took us to other beautiful spots along the coast. We even got to visit a local winery and craft beer brewery. What fun! Thank you, Sofia!!Great intro to Sintra!

We loved our trip to Evora with Luis. First, Evora is a beautiful walled city with great character. The roman ruin, churches and cathedral were a great draw, but it was walking the streets and seeing the shops we loved the most. It was also wonderful to be outside of Lisbon for a day and see the countryside. Second, Luis was a terrific guide for us. From the car ride first thing in the morning until the return trip in the afternoon he was filled with information. He weaved together questions we had from other tours with new information about our visit to Evora and really helped us form a more complete picture of Evora, Lisbon and Portugal (people, places, culture and history). He is a wealth of knowledge that flows in conversations and stories and kept us engaged all day. Our travel guide (Migel) was excellent. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Sintra & Cascais & Quelez was fabulous! Only disappointment was the weather on the day as it was cloudy & raining intemittantly, this meant that we could not go to Pena Palace due to poor visibility. Great day! We lucky to have Tiago as our guide. He contacted us and spoke with us prior to meeting and ensured we were getting the most from our experience. He added a visit to the westernmost part of Europe - Cabo da Roca and showed us Cascais. And still had us back in Lisbon by 3p He was an excellent guide with his knowledge. He absolutely nailed our visit to the castle in Sintra- even in the pouring rain, highlighted the love story, architecture and history. Def recommend him for this trip. Sintra and Cacais in style!

Rita was fabulous, knowledgeable, personable + engaging. We really appreciated her introduction to traditional Portuguese food + drink, including a quick shot of Ginjinha between stops. We loved the casualness of the places we visited from the best custard tart maker and charcuterie shop to the traditional restaurants while we enjoyed salt cod, sardines, cheeze, jambon, chicken croquettes + chorizo sausage along with local wine samplings. Aside from the food, Rita also provided us with interesting commentary on the city and took us to areas that we might not have discovered on our own. All that to say: Don’t hesitate!Rita was fabulous

We did not have Luis. We had Jorge. Luis had such fantastic reviews and I was really looking forward to his tour. However he had another commitment so he offered another guide in his place. I didn't want to cancel and try to find another tour since it was only a few days away so he suggested Jorge in his place. Jorge was nice and provided the standard tour but I feel we could have seen more. Jorge might be used to having tourists stop to shop, have lunch and admire scenery for extended periods of time but we wanted more tour experiences. We did not even see the Pena Palace which I was looking forward to. It may have been different if we had communicated with Jorge directly before the tour.Sintra Tour

We had a wonderful day trip to Sintra. Even though Pena Palace was closed, we had a great time checking out the main town and Regaleira. We had a delicious lunch and then headed on to the windy ocean overlook and Cascais for gelato. Our family of four (two kids) very much enjoyed all the sites and trivia and getting all of our questions answered throughout the day. The trip was tailored to our needs including a different pick up and drop off location to fit with other activities we had planned. We also had some questions before the tour that were promptly answered and helped us in planning. And we got some tips for things to check out the next day on our drive south. Rita is AWESOME. Genuine, innovative, experienced, kind, and great with kids and adult lovers of history and culture. Miguel was our guide. He was on time to meet us at our hotel. He is personable. His English is excellent. He planned the day so we seemed to be ahead of any crowd. He knew how to balance guided time and time on our own at each site. He obviously knew in depth information about our destinations and told us a lot about each. He was not a clock watcher in a good way. He let us set the pace of the itinerary. He even added a stop that we asked about that was not on the tour, but on the way.
