We highly recommend Sonia who gave us an excellent tour of Lisbon’s historical centre, including a couple of places and short cuts we would never have known about or found if we hadn’t been with Sonia. She is such a lovely person, very friendly and gave us such a lot of information about Lisbon in general during the tour. It’s well worth the money and a much nicer way to take a tour rather than walking around in a large group. We’d definitely take another tour with Sonia if we come back to Lisbon. Marisa picked us up at our hotel and started the most delightful tour of Lisbon that we could ever have imagined. This was the first time visiting Lisbon and Francisco’s tour was an excellent introduction to the city. Francisco was a terrific guide with a real passion for its history and culture, taking us to places of importance and where we wouldn’t have thought to go without his guidance. He was very friendly, amiable and spoke excellent English. The tour was for 3 hours but he actually gave us more of his time. He gave us recommendations for the rest of our week and places to eat - well worth it. Afterwards he also messaged us about the coming storm and palace closures. We learned so much about Lisbon's history and layout from this tour. It was a great way to orient ourselves upon our arrival, and it was a pleasure meeting Henry who showed us around, and wove together Lisbon's history with a well-paced story. As a self-professed history buff he was incredibly knowledgeable, and he also made a point of showing us good places to eat and offered lots of ideas for our time in Lisbon. Henrique was knowledgeable, warm and a great story teller. You can tell he's a Lisbon native as he knows all the beautiful details of the city and shares them in such a lovely way. We saw so much and stopped at a several scenic spots for pictures (Henrique had no problem stepping up as photographer too). He really wanted to share the heart of his country and connect us with the spirit of the Portuguese people. When the tour ended and we let him know we were heading to lunch he gave us a recommendation and walked us there before saying goodbye. Angelo gave us a very informative tour of Lisbon. I don’t even know where to begin with Angelo. Without a doubt, the best tour guide I’ve ever had. I highly recommend combining the walking tour and culinary tour with Angelo, this is two tours combined into one. It may sound like a lot, but trust me it’s worth it. Angelo actually spent almost 9 hours with us and if we didn’t have a prior engagement it could’ve been longer! We were a group of 5. Angelo will contact you ahead of time to verify your interests as well as food likes/dislikes/allergies etc. He will customize your tour accordingly. Since we did the walking and culinary together, we would explore some interesting sites and learn history and then stop in a coffee shop or sandwich shop or bar or any of a number of local eateries where he would call ahead and we would be ushered in like vips and able to skip the lines and have the food hot and waiting for us. It was all amazing. Angelo is also extremely knowledgeable about everything related to Portuguese history and culture. Every question we had, he had a perfect answer to. If you knew nothing about Portuguese food and culture, you will now! And I can guarantee you will love it! In conclusion, Angelo is more than a guide, he is a genuinely great guy who becomes your friend for the day. He also offered us tremendous tips and guidance unrelated to the tour. If you haven’t noticed yet, we loved Angelo and highly recommend!Authentic and Unforgettable!

We spent a great morning with Alphe who showed us around his Lisbon . We met in a crowded busy square. Within a few minutes and a few yards we were inside a beautiful building looking at the square...alone. When I asked was OK to be there, he said yes, but nobody knows. We arrived in Lisbon Friday morning after overnight flights, jetlagged and unfamiliar with the area. We booked a walking tour with Sonia as a way to stay awake AND get a feel for the city. Sonia was amazing! It was as if we were meeting up with an old friend as she took us around her city. It didn't feel like 3 hours, the time went fast as we explored the area and saw various sites. She explained a lot of the history and showed us spots we wouldn't have noticed or seen otherwise. (We also stayed awake and had fun even though we should have been exhausted.)
