We had a truly wonderful experience with Piyaporn. She was informative, kind, fun to be with, and really went out of her way to show us the area, the foods in the market and to ensure that we had an incredible tour. I would highly recommend her and this tour to anyone. I appreciated that it included the motorized boat tour at the end when we went through the neighborhood on the water by the temple. This was a really great experience, especially since my 4 teenagers can sometimes lose interest fast. Not this time! The day had just enough enough switching of activities to keep everyone happy as we didn't stay in any one place (or boat) too long. The van they picked us up in couldn't have been nicer - I mean it was first class! At the floating market, the canal boat ride we took before we switched to a paddle boat for the floating market was really nice - we enjoyed seeing the different 'neighborhoods' and we saw several huge monitor lizards. I do feel like going with With Locals made the experience better than most of those I have done with Get Your Guide or Viator. It was the little things like Piyaporn taking the initiative to grab things for us at the floating market (that she paid for) like bananas fried in coconut milk, coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, etc. She would just grab something and say "Try this!". Or the cold wet towels when we got back in the van at the end of the day to head home. And the super nice driver we had. And I'm not sure if it happens on every booking, but we also got to make a quick stop (on the canal tour) at a property with some amazing old Chinese boats and some of the most beautiful large Thai carvings I have seen since arriving. I wasn't sure if driving an hour and half from Bangkok would be worth it but it totally was. I've never seen anything like the floating market and when you couple that with canal tour, the railway market and coconut farm - it was a total yes for us. And I would absolutely book with With Locals again. My family of 6 was well taken care of

Piyaporn was an awesome guide. She pays attention to your likes and dislikes and caters the experience accordingly. I understand it is difficult to find food without sea food in Thailand especially if you are not in the city. But Piyaporn took us to a local restaurant and I had the best fried rice made to order with simple and fresh ingredients. My husband and I enjoyed every detail of the trip. I would highly recommend Piyaporn if you are looking for understanding the local culture and history.Loved the whole local experience

What a fantastic day with Piyaporn and our driver Noi. We were picked up in an air conditioned van, with a cooler full of water and very comfortable seats for our drive outside the city. Our visit to the Maeklong Rail Market was fun, with front row spots to watch the train come through. Then Piyaporn walked us from this touristy spot to the true local market nearby, where we got to try some fun local foods. All the while, Piyaporn is explaining the history of the area, and why the vendors wound up on the train tracks! The two floating markets were amazing, and the boat rides we had were a wonderful way to see the Thai countryside and life along the rivers. The foods we tried were all wonderful - that amazing combination of sweet, spice, and acid that Thailand does so well. Piyaporn did a great job of navigating a dietary restriction we had, too. We would recommend this tour to anyone that. Best way to spend first day in Bangkok

First off, Piyaporn is a freaking treasure. Not only was the tour beyond reproach, but Piyaporn was able to answer so many of mine and my partners questions about Bangkok life in general. We chose Piyaporn as our guide for the Amphawa floating market and Mae Klong railway market tour. We arranged before hand to be picked up from our hotel. Piyaporn and our driver were on time (actually a little early, which suited us). Piyaporn was brilliant throughout the tour, telling us everything we needed to know. She really was a mine of information, and so kind and friendly. She also kept us well and truly fed, with lots of sample of Thai food (a must are the sweet fish balls). Because the Amphawa floating market hasn't fully recovered yet since the covid lockdown, Piyaporn took us to a smaller floating market, which us used mainly by local Thai people (wish I could remember its name). An amazing experience that needs to be seen, heard and smelt. Then on to Mae Klong, where we were in time to see the train come through. Piyaporn knew exactly where to stand to get the best photos. We picked up the boat for the river tour at Amphawa, which was a really nice way to close the day. Amphawa itself is a great place to stop and eat. I would most definitely choose Piyaporn again as a guide and would definitely recommend her to others.Absolutely brilliant day with Piyaporn

She also mentioned that her expertise is in food, which was reflected by her local food recommendations. This is the second time we had Khun Piyaporn for a guide and Khun Noi as driver...and the experience was as great as the first time! We went to Amphawa, stopping on the way at the Railway market in Meklong in time for the 11 o'clock train . We visited the very interesting and unusual Wat Khai Bangk Kung temple surrounded by banyan trees, stopped for lunch ata fabulous resto by the river, enjoyed a cool boatride, and toured the educational organic farm where we learned all about coconuts and tropical fruits (nearly-ripe bunches of lychees hanging from the branches was a beautiful sight). Piyaporn was one of the best guides we had on our southeast Asian tour. She was so friendly and easy going. She was very quick to respond to emails and was even able to accommodate an additional group member at the last minute. She took us around the floating market where we were able to try a wide variety of Thai snacks. Piyaporn went out of her way and bought us some yummy sponge cakes as a gift. Shes the best. Piyaporn was our guide to Amphawa Floating Market. This tour is a full day of interesting experiences including the train market, a coconut farm, a fascinating root-covered temple, a boat ride and the floating market. Lunch was the best Pad Thai I've ever eaten. Piyaporn (nickname Meow) was so pleasant and kind. I would gladly have her as my guide for a week. She was friendly and warm; informative, but not overbearing. The entire day was an incredible experience. I highly recommend Piyaporn. Best day ever

Piyaporn gave my boyfriend, cousin, and I the best train and floating market experience we could ask for. She was very knowledgable about the local Thai culture- from the coconut sugar farm to the temples, and floating market. She introduced me to the BEST tom yum noodle soup I tasted throughout my 2.5 week trip. I now crave it and still think about it often. When I forgot my pure coconut sugar on the boat tour, Piyaporn searched for the boat and when she couldn't find it she purchased a replacement just before we were to head back without me even asking. That gesture was extremely thoughtful and kind, which I found throughout many Thai locals during my trip. If you want to visit a floating market, it must be in Amphawa. Piyaporn was a great guide, full of information about Thailand, it's people and history. We had an excellent driver who provided lots of chilled water and cool towels! The trip included a couple of temple visits and the coconut sugar farm, where many locals go to learn about their farming heritage. The floating market is an old restored one, full of people from Bangkok, enjoying their history! We had a tasty cheap lunch from one of the boats. We paid 500 bhat extra for a boat trip of over an hour, where we saw temples, water lizards and lots of kingfishers! On the whole a delightful day - great value and Piiyaporn gave us exactly what we asked for! Excellent Day
