Walking around Milan with Sara was a great way to experience the city. Sara has a background in fashion and knows so much about the history and the places in and around the Golden Triangle, and still has a wonderful sense of enjoyment and appreciation as she leads you around. Plus she has also been a personal shopper so she has a great sense of style. (I bought a new coat!) As a bonus, she'll not only take you to the flagship stores, she also knows where to get the deals. Sara was an amazing tour guide. There were two of us that got to experience her many talents. She taught us about the history of fashion, design inspiration, many local and famous designers and we even got to tour a small shoe company and watch how shoes were made. Everywhere we walked in the fashion community, people knew Sara. She was well known and respected. Sara went out of her way to enrich our lives with her love of fashion and its history. We saw a fashion museum, the homes of designers, the place where fashion week is held and we also enjoyed stories and pictures of Sara when she was a model in her younger years. Absolutely adored the tour! While he was very knowledgeable about the fashion and the history surrounding Milan he also presented the information in a way that was more conversational. This tour is highly recommended for a first time visitor to Milan to understand how this city became the famous international fashion capital. It seems walking around town with a good friend well versed with the fashion industry and sharing entertaining stories. Very informative and enjoyable, far exceeded expectations. At his suggestions, we visited some high end fashion shops to look at their displays to “see the difference”. This is a wonderful tour! Sara is not only has a wealth of information about the city and fashion, but she also is friendly and fun. Sara took us to places and boutiques that we would normally not venture and this made this tour unique for us. She had a personal connection to all the places we visited and saw. Sara is personable and very knowlegable. She switched effortlessly fron Portuguese to English to ensure we understood. We saw many shops only an insider would know. Our highlight was the gem of a fabric shop with designer fabric remanents. My wife selected 6 different fabrics, without Dara we would not have heard of the shop much less find it. Sara helped find a nice restsurant as well as pointing out another shop that sold buttons. My wife loved the shop and founds several buttons she been looking for. She is the best. Always smiling. Sze was one of the best tour guides we've had in Italy; we all really enjoyed spending the afternoon (3 hours) with him. What makes it so unique is that this tour, "Treasures of Milan: Design & Fashion Tour" is his own creation. His knowledge in the fashion industry is unprecedented. We loved how he personalized the tour, making stops based on the questions that we were asking as we toured with him. The kept our 21-year old son, 19-year old daughter and 17-year old daughter all engaged (and to give you perspective, our son's #1 request of visiting Italy was to tour a soccer stadium but yet he was still very inquisitive on Sze's tour)! What made it so extremely interesting was how he wove the story of the creation of the fashion industry and it's entrepreneurial start and yet balanced that history with many, many examples of the trends of today. It was like walking through a personalized fashion museum with the city as our "building." I also enjoyed the easy going and very attentive nature of Sze's personality. Immediately after booking, he reached out inquiring if we were interested in any designer purchases and added that into his time with us. My 14-year old daughter who loves fashion (and isn't easily impressed) loved the three hour ride that Sara gave us through Milan's luxury designer stores and workshops as well as vintage stores or a tailor's studio where the remnants of designers' fabrics are stored and sold for low prices. Such a great variety of places! And of stories, because Sara shared quite some of Milan's fashion secrets as well as her own stories during the tour. Highly entertaining, and instructive as well. Last but not least, I particularly liked how Sara talked to my daughter on an equal footing, creating a great atmosphere. Fully recommended!A really great experience!

Thoroughly delighted with the tour Sara gave us. While the tour was focused on fashion and did a great job of showing a full range of things from the world of fashion like vintage designer shops, furniture stores and places like the prison that Lady Gucci was held. She also wove inti the tour the relationship of the city of Milan and its various districts to the fashion world and how that influences the culture of Milan as a whole. Her own experiences in the fashion industry provided a wealth of information that made the tour that much more special. She took a keen interest in making sure my daughter and her friend were fully engaged in the tour, going as far as helping them pick out things to try on at a number of the shops we visited. She helped make our visit to Milan truly special and memorable as without her, we likely would not have visited many of the places we did, in many instances more than once! I scheduled a private Fashion Tour with Sze for my four friends and me a couple of weeks ago when we visited Milan, and it was fantastic!!! We were in town for a few days on our own. Then our organized/escorted tour would begin, so my friends and I were only interested in learning about Milan's fashion industry's history, evolution, and present state. We wanted to focus and hone in on this topic specifically, and I must say that Sze's insight exceeded our expectations. We left that tour hungering for more knowledge, which led me to request a reading list from Sze to further our education about the Milanese fashion industry. What impressed us most about Sze was his in-depth knowledge of the fashion industry and the extensive research that he shared about the fashion capital. We loved learning about the founding principles on which the designers built their fashion houses. We loved learning about the shoe wearers in Milan and their influence on the fashion scene. Also, we were fascinated by the close relationship that the Milanese fashion designers shared with the textile industry. All in all, our time with Sze was enlightening and inspirational. We were so happy with the tour Sara gave us. Très très belle journée sous le signe de la mode à Milan, entre filles, avec notre super chouette guide Francesca! Nous avons visité le Musée Armani/Silos, le quartier Porta Genova, le quartier Navigli et Porta Ticinese… Francesca nous a fait découvrir de chouettes endroits comme par exemple le concept store d’Antoni Marras ou encore un chouette magasin de tissus, une fabrique artisanale de sacs en cuir de crocodile entre autres, des petits magasins vintage, des lieux insolites peu connus des touristes… Nous avons même dégusté les meilleures glaces de Milan et terminé la journée par un peu de shopping avec de bons conseils! Sara did an amazing job of taking our family of 5 through the streets of Milan on a tour of the fashion areas. She took us to several vintage stores and pointed out items that might be of interest to us. She also showed us fabric stores and local artisans. We ended the tour in the elite fashion area where we enjoyed seeing the store fronts and admiring the fashion around us.
