Good evening Ines, just back from a delightful Portugese tapas style meal near our Hotel. Thank you for the wonderful adventure we enjoyed so much through Lisbon. So many places we would never venture to visit on our own!! It was a shame about the tram, but that’s life, so be it, and isn’t the end of the world and an opportunity to improvise!! We still saw and experienced so much and enjoyed lots of of good historical background. Thanks for the recommendations which we will check out. Veerle heeft de voorbereiding van ons dagprogramma en de ontmoetingsplek perfect geregeld. Veerle reageerde snel en goed op onze vragen vooraf over bijvoorbeeld tips restaurants. Dat was heel fijn. Veerle was netjes gekleed en we vertrokken op tijd via de trein naar Sintra. Vanaf het begin tot het einde was ons contact met Veerle prettig en relaxed. Veerle is een open mens en oprecht belangstellend. Zij vertelde ons veel waardevols over Portugal, Lissabon, Sintra en de mensen die daar wonen. We hebben een prachtige dag met haar beleefd en we bevelen haar als gids zeker aan. Een eerlijk oordeel geven over de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding vinden we lastig. Een dagtour met een privé gids was voor ons namelijk de 1ste keer. Wat ons hierbij zou helpen is een specificatie van de opbouw van de totaalprijs van 400 euro. Bijvoorbeeld de verhouding tussen de overheadkosten en het salaris van Veerle.Een prettige gids met waardevolle info

Andre guided my wife and I on an e-bike tour with a stop at a local lunch spot. Andre was very knowledgeable and his love for history and storytelling was a highlight of the trip. We also really enjoyed the local restaurant he selected and he guided us through the menu selecting several items that locals would eat. We would have been less adventurous without his help. Marta was very knowledgably about Lisbon and the history of her country. We met her on the second day of our arrival, and her introductory tour made the rest of our experience in Lisboa well-spent. First off, I have to say that Inêz was available within minutes as our original tour guide canceled unexpectedly. So thank you once again for filling in on such short notice. We walked through amazing neighborhoods, heard about the amazing history of Lisboa, tried Pastéis de Belém once again, and enjoyed her pointing out so many little details of structures, monuments, and the history of the city and people. She was able to answer all our curious questions and you could see that she was happy to share her favorite city she calls home with us for a few hours. She even had pointers for some of the cities that were on our itinerary next. Andre was so accommodating. My husband got food poisoning the day of the tour and he was more than happy to switch to another day, even though he had come all the way from Sintra, which we felt terrible about. Throughout the tour, Andre was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He is a passionate history buff and had insights we wouldn't have known otherwise. We had also asked him to take us around to neighborhoods he would recommend if we moved to Lisbon and even show us how to take the subway. My friend and I had a fabulous and informative 5 hour tour with Inês. She came earlier than scheduled to our hotel and then began a journey of information and fun. Peter was a delightful guide through the areas that were previously Jewish areas. He was extremely knowledgeable and brought pictures to help illustrate what he was explaining. My husband and I enjoyed a very informative walking tour with Peter. He conveyed his knowledge of the history of Lisbon very well, and carried a file of illustrations which helped us to see how various areas appeared in the past. A stop to try a local pastry and coffee was included, and Peter made sure that we were safe and comfortable throughout the tour. We also visited a local ceramic workshop where we witnessed the techniques used to paint designs onto the products. Some lovely pieces were available to view/purchase.
