Myself, my wife and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed our time with Vania who is a real Roman. We did the tour in the early evening and the amount of food that we tasted was more than enough for our usual evening meal. Vania steered us to foods and flavors that are uniquely Roman. The small establishments that she chose for us were a testament to the artisanal nature of their craft and also ones that she frequents with her family and friends. My family and I did our first walking tour of Rome with Max. Max wss super communicative from the start, chill and very easy to talk to . He’s funny, kind and very accommodating . We had 2 kids who weren’t always the best behaved through the 3 hour tour ( some tantrums and fights along the way) but he was super patient and went with the flow. He took us to this amazing gelato place too :) Max had lots of stories to tell which made all the history so fascinating - his depth of knowledge and all those details that he knows are clearly impressive . We had an amazing tour - and would highly recommend him to anyone ! Great walking tour !

We had a very good tour of the Forum Romanaum with Max who was the perfect guide - knowledgeable, courteous and patient. My father - 85 years old - took his time and Max adapted his spiel with plenty of rest (in shadowy spots) and with guidance at the right level. Our guide, Chiara, was very friendly and had the right pace for the day. She answered our questions and kept us moving, but did not feel rushed. We liked that she focuses on local establishments (not chains) and has relationships with local vendors. The market was great to explore (Clare gave us time to shop, too!) and we loved seeing the restaurant's wine cellar. I liked that this tour spent more quality time in a particular area, rather than running around trying to see all the attractions. I would recommend this tour to others as a great way to get to know a neighborhood that is a bit off the beaten tourist track in Romegood way to explore the Testaccio area

Chiara was a wonderful guide - personable, knowledgable, and allowed us to experience the food authentically and completely without judgement. She is clearly very passionate about the food, but at the same time had a very unbiased and objective perspective about italian culture and history, which I appreciated. A casual stroll about the city, but worth every turn and dodged Vespa! We were shown epic churches, wine shops, lunch places and local spots! We ended up going back for lunch / espresso at recommended spots! Epic! We were shown “off the tourist” path things- details you can research unless a local shares the details! Highly recommend and will book next time here for further info to Rome! Worth it in so many ways!

I took a tour with Chiara, and what can I say: five stars and above! Not only did she create a custom tour for me, but she really went out of her way to make sure I had not just an experience but a quality time with a friend. Her knowledge of history and food (she is a food archaeologist!) is outstanding! She made me see Rome with new eyes, and made me live like a true Roman. Daniele was a very friendly guide who did a wonderful tour through Villa Borghese with us as we asked for a personalized tour through the gardens within the city with him. We knows his city very well and could answer all of our questions holding a diploma in architectur. He adapted the tour spontaneously to things we were interested in. He speaks perfect English, we had a wonderful conversation and we learned a lot during the tour! He gave us some recommendations for the next day and we weren’t disappointed at all. We spent four epic hours with Max, who was able to keep the whole family entertained and captivated with Roman stories. We hit most of the hotspots (which can be catered to each family/group) and all feel we learned ao much about what the city has to give. There is what we read in guide books, and then there are those stories which can only be told by someone who has lived and breathed a city with so much passion and curiosity. The tour was both entertaining and enriching, catered for both myself and my two boys (aged 9 and 11). We walked for miles, but all felt light and manageable - even in Rome’s organised chaos!! We booked Bado for a city walk guided tour, with our 2 kids, aged 7 and 15, while we were visiting Rome for the first time. Firstly, Bado is really friendly and so easy to chat to. He balanced history, culture, architecture and story-telling perfectly. It wasn't too much info so as to overload the kids and he was so happy to answer their questions and pick up on what interested and engaged each of them. We covered a lot of ground, all the 'showstopper' moments (Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum) and stopping regularly along the way for views you might not get on a larger more generic tour, and of course breaks for gelato and snacks (crucial when touring a city with kids!) This kind of personalised pace is something you simply cannot get when joining a big group. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Bado!Super Experience with Bado!

Federico stepped in at the last minute after our booked guide fell sick. We spent 3 fantastic hours with him learning all about the Colosseum and the Forum. He was super well prepared, and tailored some aspects of the information to our cultural background and current residence. I’m a bit late writing this review, but I still often think about the mini tour my partner and I did with Daniele in late February. The slower pace was exactly what we needed, it gave us space to take in the beauty of Rome without rushing, and to really appreciate the city from a local’s perspective. Daniele’s thoughtful, relaxed style made the experience feel authentic and personal. He introduced us to several local spots for snacks, all of which we loved—especially the Trapizzino! We had a really wonderful time with Max, from the moment we met up near Piazza Navona. Not only was he incredibly kind, personable, knowledgeable, and charismatic, he also deeply cares about the history of Rome and sharing it with us. Daniele personalized the tour to our specific interests. We visited places we would not have found on our own. We stopped in a local wine shop for a glass of wine and a cafe for espresso. he spoke about the frescos and gave us a history on Rome. We explored alleys and stopped in a garden in a library.
