Our private tour of Trogir and wine tasting with Darko was the best! His communication was excellent from booking to pickup. He was full of information about Trogir and Croatia in general. He made sure we stopped for a coffee in the town square, and he had us sample a local treat. He took us to a winery where we sampled wines and traditional Croatian food, which was amazing. Darko was so accommodating; spending time with us, guiding us, and making sure we were comfortable, while also allowing us time on our own. Darko shared so much about Croatian history, culture, and daily life. We not only learned a lot from him; we also had a chance to experience a bit of Croatia from someone who loves Croatia!!! Darko gave us a wonderful tour of the caves, which is highly recommended and not accessible by the bus tours. We almost had the caves to ourselves and it was breathtaking and so serene. Also a nice tour of the fortress followed by a taste of Split. Wonderful time. Excellent tour highly recommended guide

De tour hadden we veel meer van verwacht. Voor het grote bedrag wat we hebben betaald waren we niet 3 uur maar 2 uur bezig. Hij was veel sneller klaar. Daarnaast was het niet 10 verschillende hapjes en of drankjes die we hebben gehad, maar minder. En maar 1 drankje en voor de rest wat hapjes, waarvan er ook een stukje chocola bij zat. Wij hadden hele andere verwachtingen bij dit bedrag. Darko kan leuk vertellen dat wel, maar wij hadden het gevoel dat er meer inzat voor zo’n groot bedrag en dat nu niet is geleverd. Oke maar niet fantastisch

Darko met us down by the waterfront and walked us all over old Split to see the highlights. He has an excellent background and is very knowledgable about the ancient and modern history of Split and Croatia. At our request, he talked about the GOT sites and took us to the synagogue. We stopped at a traditional bakery for a cannoli. We enjoyed our tour! This tour was a great way to become familiar with the city! Lots of delicious food. So much so that we were full by the end of the tour. Our guide, Darko, was excellent. This was an amazing tour. We have made it a point to try local food everywhere we travel, and there weren't many tour options in Split. Darko was informative, he had vast knowledge of the history, and obviously loves Split. He kept us interested, and engaged the entire time. Darko couldn’t have had a tougher group nor have done a better job! We had just come in from a long drive. Some of our group were really interested in history - others were not at all. Darko was an amazing tour guide! My friends and I booked the tasting tour with him and learned so much while experiencing the authentic and delicious food of Croatia. Darko's wealth of knowledge pertaining to Split was expansive, but never boring, which is how I prefer my tours to be. By the end of the tour, it felt like Darko was a close friend leading us around his hometown - fun, friendly and filled with hilarious banter. Darko was a wonderful guide. Not only did he provide us with much information and knowledge, he was friendly and flexible too. We did the Kirka waterfalls and also saw the town of Trogir but he also offered to bring us to an off the beaten track place for lunch- it was stunning- on the Adriatic where we could swim and soak up the sun. We expected a lovely tour. We got a very tasty tour and an amazing day of classics banter and personal insight. We felt like we were hanging out with our very best knowledgeable friend. When Darko heard that my daughter was getting her masters in classics, he changed the whole focus of the tour to feed her love of all things classical. We had a wonderful day tour with Darko. He was friendly, helpful and had very good historical knowledge, which he shared with us. His car was clean and spacious, which made the journey more enjoyable. Darko organising our tickets for Krka National Park early and then took us right into the park so we could mostly avoid the big crowds. The winery he took us to afterwards was lovely. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this tour with Darko.

Darko was an outstanding guide. He was informative, professional and a very good driver. He managed to get us to the Kirka waterfalls before the crowds arrived. The highlight of the day was a visit to a small family vineyard with wine tasting, The vineyard produces really great wines (only 30,000 bottles per year. It also cold presses its own olives to produce a fine extr virgin olive oil. The bread baked by a brother of the owner giving us the tour was first class as were the meats and cheeses - a great local experience, indeed Brilliant Guide - Wonderful Day
