Die Erfahrung Venedig durch einen Einheimischen erklärt zu bekommen, ist einfach eine tolle Erfahrung. Wir haben ihm vorab geschildert, was wir uns von der Tour erwarten und er hat sie im Längen übertroffen. Er konnte alles erklären und ist auch auf alle Fragen eingegangen, die währenddessen aufgekommen sind. Einfach klasse. Die Tour war aufgeteilt in teils touristisch und größtenteils weg vom Tourismus, dies war unser Wunsch und er hat in uns besser als gewollt erfüllt. I booked this experience for my mom's birthday as she hasn't been to Venice since her honeymoon and has always dreamt of going back. Seeing Venice with Valerio was a wonderful experience as my partner and I have never been and my mom got to see many nooks of the city she hadn't seen before! It was very special to see Venice from the point of view of Valerio, since we got to see things most people going there as tourist wouldn't normally see. We also got some great points of history throughout the tour, and couldn't believe how fast an hour had gone by! We've had multiple on-line tour experiences since the pandemic started, including the Australian outback and Portugal. All were enjoyable and informative, serving as inspiration for a future in-person visit. But we'll go to Venice first! Valerio's love of his birth city is evident from the first moment. His intimate knowledge of it's history, admiration for it's architecture and willingness to answer questions, off topic, on the fly because something caught our eye was impressive - all the while holding a camera for us as he negotiated narrow passages and skinny docks to get us a better view. He even added a new phrase to our personal lexicon, "gondola story" which for us now refers to made-up history to impress people! Ask him to explain when you meet him. Our tour included an amazingly EMPTY St. Mark's Square, and ended with a beautiful sunset looking back toward the St. Mark's tower - several kilometers away - as we sat in our respective homes - Valerio gave us a running commentary of all that surrounded him as he walked. I know Valerio offers many in-person tours that I expect will be equally well-done, and I can't wait to hoist a glass of Prosecco in Venice after all of them! Don't miss this experience!

Giving a virtual tour during a pandemic is not an easy task, but Valerio was up to the challenge! Using his camera (including prepping us for times when tunnels might interfere with reception), he helped us visualize the lives of Venetians. Valerio invited us to ask questions, and his answers provided welcome depth and insight. This commentary, combined with the novelty of the itinerary he had chosen, resulted in an on-the-ground, almost-there-in-person experience. We appreciated the sites we saw: from the famous Rialto Bridge, to the lesser known Church of Madonna dell'Orto, we wandered the alleys and canals of Venice. Our tour was booked near sunset, Venice time, and Valerio eventually guided us to the waterfront so we could look across the water at the island of Murano as the sun went down. While visiting Venice, I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Valerio for fish shopping at Rialto Market followed by home cooking in Murano. From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. We had just arrived the previous day and were still getting up to speed. Needless to say, the tour was absolutely fascinating. We learned some very interesting facts about Venice as well as about Donna Leon and Brunetti's Venice. A most enjoyable 2 hours. If your a fan of Brunetti and visiting Venice, definetly look at this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Aside form the tour, Valerio was extreemly helpful in giving us some recommedations for restaurants and some things to do in Venice and Murano. Valerio was a great guide for our tour of Murano. He picked some really interesting smaller and larger local glass producers as he wanted to show us the full spectrum of glass making in Murano. Wir haben spontan eine Führung mit Valerio gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es war eine Führung abseits der Touristenströme, die auch für unsere Kinder interessant und kurzweilig war. We had a fantastic afternoon in Venice in which we were taken in the history of Venice for 2 hours. Valerio has humor and really knows a lot about the city! He interacted super with our children aged 4, 7 and 11. Afterwards we received several tips so that we could get lost in Venice for the day. Setup a private tour walking tour in Venice with Valerio. It was my wife, myself, our two girls (3,8) and my mother. He meet us right at our Airbnb and we started from there. We walked es the maze that is Venice and he explained a ton of history and special little spots you really wouldn’t realize or maybe find on your own. He was very engaging with my daughters so that they could absorb the city as well. He setup an awesome time with Sarah a local mask workshop (she was amazing, friendly and super sweet with my girls), definitely a highlight of the trip! Highly recommend!!!! I would highly recommend Valerio to anyone interested in an easy paced wandering tour to really absorb what Venice is and what it has to offer. He also setup dinner reservations to an awesome local spot where the food was pretty dang good! Again I highly recommend him! Valerio gave us a total different insight into Venice - we got to know places where the locals are dealing with their everyday business and no other tourists around - not to talk about cool locations for a drink. The facts we learned were always decorated with interesting personal stories and there were plenty of fun moments as well. I’ve had a great experience with a local guide on a previous trip in Berlin and wanted similar for my first time in Venice. It’s really easy to stick to the “big ticket” attractions and spend all your time with other tourists. Valerio was great company and provided an entertaining personalised 2 hour walk through the winding back streets. He was unfortunately unable to dial down the summer heat but he took this on board and kept it as shady as possible. His restaurant and cafe recommendations were spot on ( the pastries are a wow!) and I now have my new favourite drink Select Spritz. Thanks Valerio.
