We had the best time in Cádiz with Joanna! She introduced us to many areas of the city and gave us little bits of history throughout our food tour. The tastes we got were delicious and it was so much fun experiencing the areas of the city where the locals go to eat. We really enjoyed our time with Joanna and would recommend her as a guide for any tour!!Fabulous Tour!
Joanna arrived promptly and in the rain. She bought umbrellas with her, for us.
Joanna has a warm and lively personality and was the ideal guide to show us around Cádiz.
She has great knowledge and the history of the city. We were advised of where to go to eat local foods and drinks.

We give Joanna 10/10! She was so friendly and informative. She absolutely loves Cadiz. Fun to tour with a local who is so in love with her town. We have recommended you to our sister and brother in law they may visit Cadiz between Christmas and New Years. Thanks Joanna for a wonderful day! Great Day with Joanna
We had a fantastic food tour with Joanna. It could not have been better. She sent very clear directions on the meeting place and even though the place was crowded due to a festival, it was easy to find her. Joanna's has an excellent knowledge of the city and provided informative details of Cadiz history during the tour. Our stops were very well organized, even though it was a busy Saturday, and included sherry, olives, oysters, paella, local meats, and desserts. Joanna has a fantastic level of energy and enthusiasm for food tours (and life in general), and it was such a pleasure to spend time with this very positive person. 10 out of 10 for sure and I'd highly recommend this guide.Outstanding in every way!
We had the most wonderful tour with Jo.
This young lady is so friendly, knowledgeable and interesting she has got to be one of the best guides around. We really enjoyed her company and everything she did for us and everywhere she took us on this Tapas tour.
Thank you Jo and hope to see you againEnjoyable Cadiz
Joanna is AMAZING!! She booked us very last minute - on a day she was going to have off and it was raining. We were trying to just make the best of a rainy day and Joanna made it more than we could ask for. She had so much knowledge. Knew all the locals spots and goodies and truly had the most uplifting attitude! It was like we had known her forever! Highly recommend this tour! We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return!Joanna is AMAZING!!
Well, in a nutshell Joanna was an awesome guide! She really took the time to personalize our fun filled day of sightseeing and food tastings across the entire island of Cadiz. We covered quite a bit of territory with perfectly timed stops at various food spots for Sherry, Cheese, Tapas, Hot Chocolate and a few sweets! Totally delicious! Joanna also did an amazing job of imparting local history as we roamed through the various areas of Cadiz. I have to say that visiting the local food marketplace was amazing as well. Really got to experience hanging out with the locals and trying out the local fare including fresh oysters just caught from the bay. Long story short you cannot go wrong booking a tour with Joanna in Cadiz. Enjoy your time in Cadiz and the great food as well!Livin La Vida Loca in Cadiz!
My tour with Joanna was great.
She was able to pick me up at the port gate since I was nervous and traveling alone with crappy phone service.
She tailored the tour to the mood of the day. Kept it casual, with great historical education, local wines and beautiful local venues.
She definitely turned a sour day into a great one.
I would highly recommend her especially if you are English or Spanish speaking. Friendly, knowledgeable and caring!

We had a wonderful time touring Cadiz with Joanna. She had terrific "insider" spots that made the tour memorable and interesting. We highly recommend her to anyone who wants to see Cadiz through a Guide's eyes who truly respects the local culture and authentically loves this city. Charming and Knowledgable
We had a brilliant tour with Joanna through the narrow streets of Cadiz to various wonderful hostelries where we sampled some local specialities.
We would definitely do it again and felt we got much more out of the experience than we would have done had we been in a large group.A great experience
Johanna is very knowledgeable about Cádiz and you can feel that she truly loves the city. She was navigating us through the narrow streets of the old town and we learned a lot about the history. She also made sure that we get a good taste of the local culture. We stopped for food and drinks at great places. The evening drinks at a rooftop terrace across from the Cathedral and the local food market, were our highlights! Thanks, Joanna!Awesome Tour with great guide
We had a fantastic few hours in Cadiz with Joanna. Arriving on a cruise ship she met us right outside the port. We were a family group of ages 8-70 and Joanna accommodated all very well. We tried some wonderful food that was different to what we would try by ourselves in some fascinating places. Having visited Cadiz 3 times before we learnt loads we didn’t know and saw new places. It was rated by most as our best day on our entire holiday and the best visit to Cadiz! So clearly comes highly recommended by us! Food tour Cadiz
As fairly typical reserved Brits, we simply wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the variety and exquisite flavours of Cádiz without Joanna’s friendly expertise. She took us through the colourful market and we tried lots of different local dishes, and ended up at a lovely little taverna, trying..well see it for yourself by making a booking you will have made a great decision. Joanna knows the local people and shares a passion for the produce so we were able to enjoy food we would never have found by ourselves. Thank you Joanna for a wonderful few hours!!😀Unmissable food experience!
We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Ca’di (Cadiz), and learned that is the actual locals pronunciation. We learned much about the history of Cadiz including and extremely tasty drink called Tinto de Verno. Make sure that you try it while there. A wonderful day in Ca’di.
Joanna was awesome. She was full of knowledge and so fun. She catered to our interests and made sure we were getting what we wanted out of the tour. Took us to some of her local favorites. Made sure we got to our places by ferry or shuttle with no problem. Very flexible on the tour time.
Gave us suggestions of restaurants and things to do prior to our trip. Would highly recommend her for a tour!Excellent tour guide
I was part of a group of 3 couples who had the pleasure of meeting with Joanna on a private cruise excursion in Cadiz. Joanna was absolutely wonderful! She taught us quite a bit about the rich history of Cadiz and showed us beautiful and historic sites while filling us in with great stories from this amazing city. Joanna also brought us to a local market where we were able to sample some of the local delicacies for ourselves. She even made sure to accommodate one member of our party who is a vegan. Joanna even followed up with us as she knew that Lisbon was our next stop and she offered some great suggestions for that city as well. Overall, a truly great experience. We cannot recommend Joanna highly enough!Wonderful day in Cadiz
We had a private tour in Cadiz with Joanna and she was an absolute delight. She has a personal connection with the local store owners which gave us an even personalized experience to each place we visited. Joanna has a big heart and passion for history , culture, food and knowledge of the wines. It shows in every detail of her tour. She also gave us lots of great recommendations for the rest of our travels in Spain. Highly recommend Joanna for every tour in and around Cadiz , Rota and beyond.
We had the absolute pleasure of joining Jo's food tour in Cadiz, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Jo was not only knowledgeable and passionate about the culinary delights of the region, but she also went above and beyond to ensure that every member of our group had an exceptional time.
From the outset, Jo took our dietary considerations very seriously. With a range of dietary preferences and restrictions in our group, she made sure to accommodate everyone without missing a beat. Her attention to detail and dedication to inclusivity were evident throughout the tour.
One of our group members is hard of hearing, and Jo was incredibly considerate in adapting the tour for them. She made sure they were always included in the conversations, using clear and thoughtful communication methods. Her genuine care and attentiveness ensured that everyone could fully enjoy and participate in the experience.
Beyond her remarkable consideration for our needs, Jo shared a wealth of historical knowledge about Cadiz. We learned so much about the city's rich history and culture, which added an extra layer of appreciation for the culinary stops we made. She introduced us to dishes we would have never thought to try on our own, each one more delightful than the last.
We were so impressed with the places Jo took us to and her recommendations that we found ourselves returning to many of them later in our trip. Each visit reaffirmed the quality and charm that Jo had initially highlighted.
In short, if you're umming and ahhhing about whether to do the tour... Stop. Just book it! Jo is an outstanding guide whose passion for Cadiz and its cuisine shines through in every aspect of her tour. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to explore the food of Cadiz in the most considerate and enriching way possible. Thank you, Jo, for an unforgettable tour! The Only Way Is Jo! Best Cadiz Experience
Had a fabulous day yesterday with Joanna on our tour around Cádiz. She had such a wealth of local and historical knowledge - delivered in a fun and engaging manner. As a native English speaker we found it very easy to engage with her warm and bubbly personality. Her Spanish fluency was a massive bonus and made navigating around Cádiz a breeze. It was the perfect tour to combine the history and food of Cádiz. We walked around 2.5 miles but had plenty of stops at various delicious eateries and bars so a perfect mix for our group who had varied mobility. We would never have found these gems without Joanna’s tour. Would 100% recommend to anyone going to Cádiz! A huge ‘thank you’! 😍

Joanna was a very effective guide. We toured the old city and hit many of the must see places stopping for a variety of drinks, cava, a variety of local white wines sherry, vermouth…. Also had a lovely varied tapas stop and our dietary restrictions were respected. A final stop for the local version of flan was just right. She was a fount of information on the history of the area and we learned a lot. Highly recommend Lovely evening with Joanna

Wow!
What a fantastic city Cadiz is, made all the more interesting by our great guide, Jo.
We particularly enjoyed the amazing market where the vibe was bustling but not too busy.
Jo showed us some lovely spots for a refreshing beer in glorious sunshine. Her infectious enthusiasm makes the tour go by too quickly!
She left us with pointers of where to see the best sunset views, which are absolutely beautifulCold Beers in the Market
We spent a few lovely hours in Joanna’s company whilst on a cruise through Cadiz. We expected she would be knowledgeable about the buildings and history of Cadiz and she was. What brought the tour to life was her knowledge of the culture and the food and we had lunch at the Central Market after she explained in detail the Tapas and seafood available. We look forward to seeing her again in a future visit.Ten Tastings of Cadiz
We absolutely loved our time spent with Joanna as we tried lots of new Spanish eats and drinks. We’re both big foodies so it was a total treat to be taken somewhere we wouldn’t have found by googling - the food was delicious, drinks plentiful and Joanna organised it all. We tried amazing new food that we’d never have tried - or been able to order ourselves! Then topped off with sherry tasting which was brilliant, we learnt lots as we drank and really enjoyed ourselves. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon! We wouldn’t hesitant to recommend Joanna - she’s brilliant and can’t wait for our next Spanish trip with her!Honeymoon Treat
Although not as big as its neighbour, Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria is a busy working town with the benefit of lots of sherry bodegas. Jo, our excellent guide, showed us various ones and we sampled a lot. Osbourne was the biggest and most commercial but the smaller ones were equally interesting and we had a lot of fun trying different sherries. Jo also took us to a fantastic steak restaurant, Meson del Asador, right in the middle of the bustling old town, where we cooked our own steaks on a small tabletop hot plate. Having lived in the area for 5 years Jo also explained to us that she is an expert on all the Ice Cream spots !!Eating Our Way Round Puerto Santa Maria
Did the walking tour of Cadiz with Jo in English. Saw the main squares with Town Hall, Cathedral and the Plaza de San Antonio, walked on the old walls outside the city and then into the narrow streets of La Vina where we stopped for a welcome ice cream break. Ended the tour at the food market. Jo then helped us order a selection of tapas at a market restaurant as the menu was only in Spanish. Jo is an English guide living locally and her tour was a nice mix of historical facts with local anecdotes. She was engaging and made the tour very enjoyable.
She also recommended that for great views of the city to do the Torre Tavira with the camara obscura as well a climbing up the cathedral bell tower – both of which we did after the tour.Excellent Walking Tour of Cadiz with Jo
Jo’s enthusiasm for the local area really shone through during our walking tour of Cadiz. Jo had exceptional knowledge of the city and many great recommendations for restaurants and local cuisine and we even managed to sample a few, a particular favourite was the prawn pancake thing. Jo managed to incorporate so much into the tour it really was worth every penny. Thank you Jo for sharing your enthusiasm and experiences of Cadiz with us.Rooftop Views
My friends and I loved our tour of El Puerto de Santa Maria. Joanna had organised everything so smoothly! We had stunning views of the bay on the ferry ride over (she introduced us to the Captain!), ate delicious seafood in a hidden away corner that looked a little run-down but was so tasty! Then we walked to two different local sherry distilleries and finished with an ice-cream from Joanna's favourite parlour! We really enjoyed getting out of Cadiz city and seeing more of the local area!Sherry in the Sunshine
