La excursion por tramontana cumplio nuestras espectativas,Descubrimos uno de los paisajes mas bonitos que he visto en mi vida, tomamos fotos increibles y Alvaro compartio muchas de las historias de los lugares que pasabamos. Increible los olivos centenarios y la granja de Balixt davall. El paseo fue sencillo, solo la ultima parte antes de la torre estaba un poco empinado, pero la vista compensa con creces el esfuerzo. Totalmente recomendableGracias Alvaro!

As soon as Alvaro picked us up from our hotel, I knew it was going to be an exciting adventure! We took some beautiful roads to the mountainous beauty of the north of the island. We went to some spots so secluded and breathtaking, with hardly any other tourists! His knowledge of the entire history of Mallorca was captivating as well as his knowledge of each stop. Alvaro was a wonderful local to spend the day with. We originally booked a 90 minute tour of Palma but decided we wanted to explore the countryside and not have to worry about driving. So we met him at the car rental place and off we went to Andratx, Sant Elm, along the coast to Banyabufar and then to our favourite Valldemossa. Along the way we had interesting discussions with Alvaro about Mallorca and his travels and world events. He was open to talk about anything and we appreciated that. When we got back to Palma he extended the tour even further by taking us to a spot with beautiful views of Palma. We all agreed if we had rented the car on our own the day would have been a dud. Thanks Alvaro, it was a wonderful day spent with you. Wonderful informative host.

My husband and I had a fantastic day touring the Tramontona villages and towns with Alvaro! He took us to special, out of the way places in Valmossa and Delia that we would never have found on our own. We also went to the lovely town of Pollenca and to stunning Formentor where we had spectacular views of Mallorca and the Mediterranean. I have been coming to Mallorca for the best part of 40 years (I was only 12 the first time) but we would never have found the places he took us to under our own steam! Well worth the money! Alvaro was very knowledgeable and showed and told us a lot about the city of Palma. But as a "10 tastings" tour, Alvaro's tour was a disappointment, especially compared with similarly promoted tours we have had in Lisbon and Vienna. As we started the tour, we informed Alvaro that the three of us were all on "low carb" diets (two of us are diabetics), so we prefer high-protein, low-carbohydrate foods. The first food stop was a tapas stall in a market, and Alvaro did not offer choices or ask what we would like -- instead he just ordered the traditional round Mallorcan potato rolls (coca de patata), which is loaded with carbs and fat nad is the last thing any of us would want. After getting the potato rolls we could see that traditional meatballs were available -- nothing special but they would have been good for us. After politely finishing as much of the potato rolls as we could, and Alvaro "scolding" us that the proprietor would be upset if we didn't eat all of the food that was offered, Alvaro begrudgingly finished what was left (he is slim and seems to eat very little himself). Before we left the tapas stall, I asked the proprietor what was the large, flat, crusted tapa on display right in front of me (which would be cut into squares for each plate ordered). He replied that it was tuna, which would have been perfect for us! From that moment, I got the impression that Alvaro simply wanted to order things that were cheap, since the cost of the food evidently comes from what he's paid, and we only stopped at three places and tasted well under 10 things total. On another 10-tastings tour, booked through Withlocals but in Lisbon, we went to 5-6 places and tasted over 15 different things, including 6 things at the very first place! I think that Alvaro could be alright on general Palma city tours, but avoid him for food tours. What we experienced was a city tour with a few snacks thrown in. 10 tastings of Palma tour with Alvaro

Alvaro was amazing. He truly loves the city and we left wanting to come back to Palma. We saw so much in 2.5 hours it was surprising. Great history lesson. Before our tour through Palma, I had written an email asking to be shown the main attractions in the city as most of our group hadn't been there before. In retrospect I don't think that Alvaro had read the mail as we some interesting things but also some rather obscure things. We weren't given any tips as to what we should see and do. When we stopped at points, he didn't wait for everyone to catch up but talked to whoever was there and so some of us missed a few things.
