We had a wonderful evening with Lien. She is fun and chose some lovely places to eat. I am vegan and my husband is an adventurous eater - Lien found top quality places so that both of us could eat well. We had a delicious green papaya salad, lots of very local Hanoi dishes and also doughnuts and Vietnamese coffee. Definitely don’t eat beforehand it was more than enough. Lien also gave us lots of tips about how to choose where to eat and what to avoid. An excellent start to our holiday. Thank you Lien. Despite being relatively expensive because there were only two of us, it was great value for money. Great food and really good company

I had a fascinating tour of Hanoi old quarter with Lien who knows every hidden gem of the city. Despite it being Tet with many places shut for the holiday Lien still found intriguing spots I’d never have found on my own and gave me all the background on them. My Hanoi visit was all the more memorable because of Lien. I’ve travelled widely but Lien is the best city guide I’ve had the good fortune to meet - so good in fact I encouraged my son in his 20s to ask her to guide him and he had a great time too Inside track on Hanoi

We really enjoyed our walk around Nghia Tan with Ruby. We enjoyed the local market and hearing and seeing how Vietnamese live and work. Ruby was our first guide in Vietnam. She’s very intelligent and well spoken. She taught us a lot about the history of the country. She suggested lunch at Huong Lien where we enjoyed learning how to eat bun cha. We spent the following day together at Halong Bay. Ruby booked the best cruise and explained everything we were seeing along the way and showed us all the formations in the caves. We trusted her dinner recommendations each evening. Loan, our local guide, is super nice and accommodating. She is very familiar with the Hanoi neighborhood and took us to sample scrumptious and unique cuisines. We enjoyed fresh green papaya salad, deep fried fermented pork rolls, banh mi with fresh vegetables and BBQ pork from the grill. We then had an ice cold local beer to clear our palates before fragrant beef broth pho. It has been a wonderful experience to navigate the Old Quarter to work off some of the extra calories. We ended our tour watching the train pass through as we sipped rice wine at Train Street. Perfect day!Best food tasting ever at Hanoi!

We had a lot of fun during our tour with Lien. She contacted us a few days before we actually met and changed the tour a bit to match our requirements. The chosen locations and dishes exactly matched, what we had expected from a street food tour. The dishes were very tasty and for sure we did not return hungry to our hotel. As well her recommendation for an egg-coffee cafe, which she had left out intentionally because of the time of the day, turned out to be a perfect choice. We did a Highlights & Hidden Gems tour and a 10 Tastings food tour with Lien. We enjoyed them both and Lien is a delightful warm and friendly person. We learned more about Vietnamese customs and culture from her and the tours were excellent. There is a lot of food on the 10 Tastings tour so make sure you are hungry. Vielen Dank Lien für diese super Tour. Wir sind beide mehr als begeistert, Lien hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen, alles toll erklärt und viele Tipps gegeben. Die kleinen Restaurants und Straßenstände hätten wir sonst nie getestet. Es gibt 10 Speisen und man sollte auf jeden Fall einen großen Hunger mitbringen. Der Preis für die Tour ist mehr als gerechtfertigt!!! Ein toller Abschluss war ein Kaffeeshop in einer alten Villa welcher uns am Tisch genau zeigte wie ein Egg-Coffee zubereitet wird und die Entstehung wurde auch erklärt. Wir hatten einen großartigen Tag mit Lien, sie liebt was sie tut. Unbedingte Empfehlung!
