Von der ersten Minute waren wir von Lucia sehr begeistert. Danach haben wir uns in Lisboa sogar verliebt. Henrique has an enormous and all-encompassing knowledge of Lisbon and Portugal and is able to share this knowledge in a very interesting and accessible way. He was both very responsive and spontaneous to our interests and needs, but also very proactive and suggested a very well thought out tour of the city. Jorge was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of the history of the city is incredible, and the places he showed us were everything we were looking for: local bars where we experienced some pastel de bacalhau and pastel de nata, churches, hotels, and streets off the beaten path. I felt like I was on a tour with an old friend. We stopped by the original pastel de nata bakery- that was the best of all the pastries I had during my trip. Ganz allgemein gesprochen, sollte man die Mittagspause zusätzlich buchen, damit man wirklich 3 Stunden Zeit für die Führung hat. Ansonsten können wir Luis wirklich sehr empfehlen und würden ihn bei einem zukünftigen Besuch in der schönen Stadt Lissabon erneut buchen. From the get go, working with Angelo on planning our custom tour was easy and excellent. Communication was on point and Angelo really took his time to understand our needs and ensure he mapped out a great experience for us. On the day of our tour he was on time and pretty much spent the whole day with us showing us the sites and stopping along the way at various local restaurants and bakeries getting a real taste of Lisbon Portugués cuisine and local favorites. We opted for a sightseeing and food tasting type tour and I am happy to report that Angelo did an amazing job and went out of his way to ensure we had a great time. Angelo has a good grasp of Portuguese history and we learned a lot along the way. Towards the end of the day we were all basically friends which says a lot as he has a wonderful personality. So if you are planning a tour I can honestly say you cannot go wrong with Angelo. We will be reaching out to him again next time we are in Lisbon for sure! Our private tour (my wife and I) with Joao was just perfect! He reached out to us prior so he could customize to our liking - we wanted to explore the various neighborhoods of Lisbon in order to get a genuine "feel" for the city, and Joao totally delivered. My 3 friends and I had an exceptional tour of Lisbon with Jorge. He is very knowledgeable about the history, super fun, and very easy to talk to. Joao is very knowledgeable about Lisbon/Portugal and he kept the conversation going across the tour. His interaction style is excellent. We had a unique situation in that my wife had developed a foot injury and we had to adjust the tour and walking approach (walk 2-4 blocks at a time, not much up hill, take taxis to get from spot to spot to keep the walking down, especially up hill). Even though we had an extensive set of messaging before the tour as to the approach, Joao never really got comfortable on how to help make this work well. He was not real comfortable in figuring out what the stops could be, and how to make the transportation work well to get there (he did not seem comfortable in taking a taxi a shorter distance as an example). In the first part of the tour, we moved around too little and on the last part walked too far and the foot got irritated. I was trying to provide input, but it really didn't work well. I think this is just like touring with a handicapped person which should be more common to address. At the end I did have questions about whether Portugal makes high quality leather goods like Spain, I was looking for a belt.....not like one from a department store. He said Portugal did. He could not locate the location on his smart phone he had in mind, and as it turns out it was really 4 stores away from where we were. After going to the store, I concluded that Lisbon did not really have what I was looking for. At the end I also had a request for lunch recommendations, but the one suggested was more like dinner food rather than more casual lunch. This must be a common request for a morning tour....where to stop for lunch. I would think there would be some choices, talk through, and then choose.Very knowledgeable but some issues

I am an avid traveler, and I always like to take a local tour upon arrival to a new place. Angelo is by far, one of the best guides I've ever had! He is incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and goes above and beyond to ensure that you learn as much as possible about the history, geopolitical events that shaped the ethos of the people, the food, culture, and more. I took two tours with him - one was a special 1:1 walking tour (when my travel companion could not make it, he didn't cancel), and the 2nd was the Culinary Kickstart tour where we had 5 delicious tastings all around Lisbon. Even after the tour finished (and he generously went over time by an hour!) he sent me an extensive summary of all that he taught us, with the google links to the sites we visited as well as recs for places to explore the next day. He even texted me to ensure that I had made it safely back to my hotel because I was traveling by myself. He answered my questions so thoroughly, showed us the music, the art, the architecture, the literature, and so much more. I could not have asked for a better host. Truly! This was an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend that you book Angelo. I promise you will get so much out of it, and you will coem to love the Portuguese culture and people.
