We had a super interesting tour which included historical sites and unknown city places on the one hand and most updated art events on the other hand. We celebrated my wife 50th anniversary on the tour day, and Natalia prepared us several surprises during the tour. When we started our tour we told Pedro we wanted to see the hidden gems of Palma and he didn’t disappoint! Pedro was excellent in every way imaginable. We did a 3 hour walking tour with him. When we first met he asked us what kind of tour we wanted to do and we of course told him we wanted to hear it all, as Pedro says, the lights and the darks. Pedro definitely surpassed our expectations with the amount of knowledge, stories and curiosities he shared about his town of Mallorca. Born and raised in Mallorca, Pedro shares an encyclopedia of knowledge and kept us laughing with his humor. We wanted to bring home a bottle of traditional olive oil and he took us to a local shop where he buys and also directed us to a great tapas restaurant, Bar España to grab a bite after. Next time we return to Mallorca we will absolutely book with Pedro again! For Game of Thrones and House of Dragon fans, walking in Mallorca felt like taking a stroll in King’s Landing with the coastline resembling vibes of Dorne. My fiancé loved it! We had one day in Palma and wanted to see and experience as much as we could, and Cesar made this possible. I was specific in my requests for a perfumerie, and he found three places for me to explore. On our first day in Palma, Cesar took my family and I on a great 3 hour tour of old town. He met us at our hotel in town and we walked into old town. We’ve traveled extensively over the past two decades—on every continent except Australia (so far)—and have had well over 100 tour guides, including more than 40 through Withlocals. In my work as a global health researcher, I’ve also had countless encounters across cultures and countries. And I can say, without hesitation: Cesar is the best tour guide we have ever had. His knowledge of Mallorca was both expansive and precise—not just facts, but stories that brought the island to life. He shared fascinating historical and contemporary insights into the island’s people, society, and geography with remarkable depth and clarity. We did two tours with Cesar. The first took us to the Drach Caves, with a stop at Nadal’s Tennis Academy and lunch at a fantastic local (non-touristy) restaurant. The second was a 1/2 day trip to Valldemossa and Deià. While the destinations were beautiful, what made the experience unforgettable was Cesar himself. Cesar is not only a tour guide—he’s an active commercial pilot, flying to/from London 2-3 days/week (!), a published novelist, a songwriter, and a person with a rich and inspiring family history. He even played us some of his own musical recordings during the drive, and they were truly exceptional. Above all, Cesar is deeply engaged—with the world, with the people he meets, and with living a full and meaningful life. His openness, kindness, and humanity moved us deeply. We had an absolutely wonderful walking tour with Alvaro in Palma de Mallorca. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and incredibly enjoyable. Even before the tour began, Alvaro was fantastic with communication. We had some unexpected travel delays, and he was so understanding — adjusting our meeting time without any hassle. That flexibility really set the tone for how thoughtful and accommodating he is. The tour began with a visit to the stunning cathedral, where Alvaro brought the history and culture of the site to life with engaging stories and a deep knowledge of the region. His passion for local heritage really made the experience special. When we mentioned wanting to switch things up a bit, Alvaro didn’t miss a beat. He took us to one of the oldest bakeries in the area, where we enjoyed an authentic Palm de Mallorca dessert — easily the best dessert of our entire trip — paired with a rich, flavorful espresso. The surprises didn’t end there. Alvaro then led us to a charming local spot where we had a refreshing vermouth along with a plate of olives, meats, and cheeses. It was the perfect way to relax and take in the atmosphere of the town like locals. To top it all off, Alvaro personally made sure we found the best taxis so that we could return to our ship with time to spare. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and Alvaro was a huge part of that. His warmth, knowledge, and flexibility make him a guide I’d recommend to anyone visiting the area. On a weekend away with the girls and booked a private tour with Adriana for our first morning, and it was the best thing we did. She was an utter joy. My sisters and niece have never been to Mallorca — while my husband and I have been here many times. We all learned so much with Alvaro! We went on an amazing 3 hour walk through Palma - stopping to taste Mallorcan delicacies! Alvaro knows where to go and what to order — some things, even as a chef, I have not tried before! Alvaro is knowledgeable and fun to spend an afternoon with in Palma. Definitely worth it and good for lots of age groups. Lots of walking - so littles may need a stroller if part of the group. My niece is 9! She did great! A wonderful afternoon with Alvaro!

We arrived to Palma Mallorca from our cruise ship. Cesar was our tour guide, he gave us such a pleasant tour, we walked through the streets were he show us around while giving us an incredible background of history and culture. Passed by a few churches, visited Turk Baths a Santa Clara Monastery and visited the beautiful Cathedral. He gave us some tips of places to eat and shop. We truly recommend Cesar. I booked this introduction to Palma experience as my sister and I were making our first visit to Palma and were only staying for the weekend - so we couldn't afford to waste time in the wrong parts of town! Cesar was on time and so friendly we were immediately at ease and absorbed in the information he was telling us, and the places he showed us. We would never have got orientated to the place, or learned so much about Palma without Cesar's excellent introduction and top tips for eating, drinking and visiting. Suzanne did a great job of pointing out key details of paintings ands sculptures in the huge Prado museum that we would have otherwise missed. She shared some interesting details about the artists as well. I should also mention that she got us tickets and we were able to avoid the long lines and enter through a side door. 10 tastings tour of Mallorca with Alvaro was one of the best experiences we had on our trip. Alvaro is obviously passionate about the city, it's history, and architecture. We stopped by 3 different places and tried multiple foods and drink from the area. I really can't say enough good things about this experience. Alvaro described so many details that we would not have known about otherwise. He was obviously friends with many of the locals. At each of the places we stopped to taste test he explained each dish and what it meant to the culture and even in some cases how it was prepared. I highly recommend this tour for any foodie and also recommend Alvaro, a great guide. Thank you Alvaro!One of the best experiences of our trip.

Our group of four girls started our 4-day stay in Palma with the '10 Local Food Tastings" with Álvaro and it was the highlight of our trip and a great way to find our bearings in this lovely, welcoming city. Álvaro was in touch ahead of our meeting, which was reassuring and met us at the appointed place at the agreed time and from the 'get-go' he was giving us chat, pointing out interesting places, facts and so on. Having spent time in Dublin working, his English was perfect and the chat and banter was great the whole way around the tour. The food at the local food market was interesting and challenging - offering those already familiar with Spanish cuisine the opportunity to try something new. Food wasn't his only passion; he truly loves Mallorca which was evident as we weaved around the city for some time before our next stop - which was welcome as the tapas at the food market was quite filling. We stopped at viewing points, churches and all sorts of interesting spots; Álvaro certainly knows Palma, and Mallorca in general, and was happy to share his knowledge recommending places to visit, to eat and drink and how to get about the island, if that's your thing. Next food stop was a tiny little family bar offering some lovely local delicacies and some fantastic Vermouth which was followed up by a visit to a beautiful traditional café to enjoy some wonderful Ensaïmada served with hot chocolate and refreshing sorbet. A short walk to the Plaça Major where Álvaro left us to continue on around the old town ourselves. In total, Álvaro spent more than 3 hours with us - it certainly didn't feel like that, but time flies when you are having fun!! Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this fun tour and would certainly recommend spending time in the company of Álvaro. For us the ten tastings were just perfect (although in total, I think we actually had more - five tapas, two different sandwiches with two different olives, a glass of Vermouth, some Ensaïmadas, sorbet and hot chocolate) but for people looking for a full-on foodie experience they might prefer something more focussed on just the food rather than the tour.Time flies when you are having fun!
