We booked Bado for a city walk guided tour, with our 2 kids, aged 7 and 15, while we were visiting Rome for the first time. Firstly, Bado is really friendly and so easy to chat to. He balanced history, culture, architecture and story-telling perfectly. It wasn't too much info so as to overload the kids and he was so happy to answer their questions and pick up on what interested and engaged each of them. We covered a lot of ground, all the 'showstopper' moments (Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum) and stopping regularly along the way for views you might not get on a larger more generic tour, and of course breaks for gelato and snacks (crucial when touring a city with kids!) Daniele personalized the tour to our specific interests. We visited places we would not have found on our own. We stopped in a local wine shop for a glass of wine and a cafe for espresso. he spoke about the frescos and gave us a history on Rome. We explored alleys and stopped in a garden in a library. She was super flexible adapting to our eldest member pace and explaining everything from scratch so we can really understand concepts. she gave us practical tips and a good advice as to where to eat. Daniele, we asked Daniele to take us to sights and neighbourhoods away from the highlights in central historic room. This he did admirably. Collecting the 4 of us from our hotel, he took us to places we would not have gone to or found by ourselves. His anecdotes and humour also enlivened the walk and have given us a very good memory of a part of hidden Rome. Our tour with Daniele was one of the best experiences in our 4.5 weeks in Europe. We did the tour with him on the first afternoon in Rome so was a perfect introduction. His explanations were clear and really interesting. He took the time to understand what we were interested in and incorporated this in his tour. We didn't go to the 'big'tourist spots in Rome - he took us to amazing street food (some of the places we revisited in the following days), we wound through neighbourhoods we may not have discovered on our own and had a really great three hours. Thank you - my husband and I really enjoyed it - and our three teenagers absolutely loved it. Excellent introduction to Rome

Francesca is very knowledgeable about art and history and took us trough a very interesting walking tour, taking the time to explain in detail the history and stories about the places we visited. He changed the meeting point to a local cycle hire shop, and then took us on a 3 hour tour of all the main sights of Rome, filled with fascinating insights and stories, as well as taking us to a few great hidden gems. Simone is personable and provided some local cultural insight. He adapted his tour based in our interest and knowledge. There were 2 minor issues with our tour. We stopped at a modern art museum although neither of us has an interest. It appeared Simone wanted to visit a friend and get us to buy him a coffee. The second is that we were about 20 Meters from the meeting point and Simone couldn't find us. We were the only 2 people standing near the meeting point and obviously waiting for someone. We eventually connected and Simone gave us the full tour. He handled the delay well and we enjoyed the complete 3 hour tour. Historical Rome

Simone was a fantastic guide. He showed me so many hidden gems that gave me a chance to further explore later in the day and during my remaining days in Rome. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and is very personable. His kickstarter tour was a perfect start to my vacation! There is so much to see in Rome that a walking tour, especially with Simone is the best way to get acquainted with the city. We happen upon a ceremony that was dedicated to the tomb of the unknown soldier and we stayed to watch the ceremony. It was very moving. Simone knows all the back way and how to avoid the crowds. We had two tours with Simone, the City Tour and the Food Tour. Both were great. Simone is very friendly, very flexible, and very knowledgeable. He took time to explain the history of each place and is a good engaging story teller. He moved our food tour to Campo de Fiori because the Vatican market was closed on Sunday, and introduced us to different foods based on what we liked.
