I had only one day in Seoul - so decided to go WITHLOCALS to spend half of my day. Jason was great - met me at the hotel I was staying - he was very friendly and we visited a Palace - he gave me the history of it; and we went to Bukchon village - an amazing traditional neighborhood of Seoul - the very narrow streets with traditional housing; some nice shops as well; he offered to take pictures - and he is great in that! then he took me to an old area that has tons of little restaurants and cafés and art galleries - i loved th area! Jason was attentive and without him i would not have seen in the little time I had! Thank you Jason for very nice memories of Seoul! 01 day in Seoul

My mother and I did a walking tour with Sanghee that started off at Gyeongbokgung Palace and in and around Bukchon. Since my mother is older, I asked Sanghee to pace us slowly and she did a great job of showing us around the sights while checking in with my mom on how she was doing. Sanghee was knowledgeable and kind, giving us insights into the Korean life whilst also helping satisfy the "tourist" side. Highly recommend!Great tour with Sanghee!

We had a very informative time with Jason as he very patiently taught us how to use both buses and trains in Seoul. He listened attentively to our requirements and took us on a bus and train ride to a destination of our choice showing us how to get around with ease. Without a doubt one of my new favorite cities in the world- Seoul! Once I booked the tour, Jason immediately reached out to find out what we were interested, so that he could tailor the perfect day of sights. We were warmly welcomed by Jason at our hotel. He has such a friendly demeanor we had a fantastic day! He was knowledgeable, and very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks for listening to what we were interested. He truly maximized our tour to ensure we were not just going by the main sights, but also secret places for the best pictures. He took us through a lovely part of town that we would have never seen on our own since there were not a lot of tourists there. Jason is a one-of-a-kind private tour guide. I was on the lookout for a tour guide with three key qualities: great communication skills, a charming personality, and a wealth of knowledge. He was super responsive to my messages. He really listened to what I wanted to see or do in Seoul. He even made sure his tour itinerary was all about what I wanted to get out of it. Jason was a great tour guide! There were 5 of us and he made sure to pick us up at our hotel and have a very nice van available that fit us all. We previously gave him some ideas of what we would like to do, and he accommodated to them very well. He took lots of family pictures and videos for us dressed in hanboks at a palace. He also took us to a restaurant and a cafe away from the city with the best mountain view! My mother-in-law had lost her glasses on the bus the night before, so he took us to a glasses store where they were able to give her an eye exam for a new pair. It was very helpful having him with us because it would have been very difficult to speak with them since we didn't know Korean. He also helped us pick out the perfect pair as well as had them delivered to our hotel! He even checked back with us to let us know they had been delivered. We ate lunch and dinner with him at delicious restaurants and made sure there was something for all of us to eat (mother-in-law is a vegetarian) and he felt like part of our family. My kids are 14 and 17 so he made sure to do things that they were able to enjoy. He was a great tour guide, and I am glad to have chosen him!!Tour of Seoul!

This tour gave great insights on the food culture of Seoul and it was amazing. Jason took us to the most authentic cultural food stalls and each of them were amazing. We were so full by the end of the day and there was still so much mode to explore.infact my friend was a pure vegetarian so he also suggested great tasty Vegan/Veg food. We tried appetisers, mains and a variety of desserts. To top it he also took is for a local shopping tour around the area the the best shops with best deals. Overall it was an amazing experience. Jason is a top recommendation. We are a group of students and early professionals living in Seoul and booked with Jason to visit the DMZ. He knows the best spots in the DMZ and is able to put things into a broader contemporary context, not just focused on the past history. The best thing was that he was a true guide, selecting the best sights and skipping the waiting lines. He made sure to adjust to all of our needs, e.g., finding a bang-for-the-buck authentic Korean restaurant or also showing us the suspension bridge despite a detour. I met Priscilla at a Metro station near Namdaemun Market and sampled a wide variety of foods from restaurants, small cafes and street stalls. I tasted many things which I would have been wary about, without her telling me about them. She was knowledgeable, funny, informative and very easy to understand. I would highly recommend her - just make sure you haven’t eaten for a few days beforehand! Her insight into Korean food was very useful in my further travels around Korea and I will definitely be cooking some of the dishes when I get home. My group really enjoyed our time Priscilla. She was very fun, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the history of South Korea. She was very familiar with the many shrines, statues, temples and artifacts, and she was able to tell the stories of each. With so much to explore in even just the city of Seoul, I didn't know where to start! My partner and I booked a private 2 person tour to experience the taste of Seoul. We initially booked on a Sunday, but Jason advised another day as most shops closed Sunday. We enjoyed our tour of the market and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and Jason carried the conversation through the experience. We had a really interesting tour with Jason but sadly (?) Jason's tour wasn't for us. It was nice to start with a coffee and chat but we have good coffee in Australia and the chat was a little long. Jason was super knowledgable about Korea in general, and the market we visited, but we thought Jason was thrown by us not being the slightest bit interested in shopping. For a food and drinks tour the food was good but drinks didn't happen apart from the free drinks everyone had with lunch. The sit down lunch was excellent and would have been a great opportunity to be offered a beer. To be honest we'd missed that we were going to the palace and this ended up being a real highlight as the changing of the guard happened while we were there. Overall we enjoyed our time with Jason but for us the value for money wasn't there. Good food but where were the drinks?

This tour was amazing! Priscilla is full of energy, knowledgeable, and made the history of the DMZ easy to understand. Visiting the Third Infiltration Tunnel and Dora Observatory was fascinating and educational. Tour guide Sanghee Priscilla was wonderful. She was excellent in communicating with us. Very prompt and very accommodating to our needs. We appreciated her flexibility very much!!! We had some issues originally with the times and then with the unexpected snow, the palace opened later. She contacted us immediately to let us know the changes and how we could adjust. Sanghee's had a great demeanor and wonderful personality. Very warm and friendly. She was very informative during the palace tour, giving interesting tidbits of information. She walked us through the famous Bukchon Hanok Village and surrounding area, Jogyesu Temple, Insadong and gave us a good recommendation to have kbbq after leaving us before dinner. With limited time on my layover in Seoul we were able to experience a lot, all during a 100 year snow storm. Sanghee met me at the airport, introduced me to Korean coffee, then had me on and off every mode of public transport to make the most of our time. Photo ops covered in snow at every turn and amazing food to keep us going (all on limited sleep). Sanghee took the time to get to know me and shared about her life along with teaching me some history of Korea along with basic Korean numbers and writing.
