Chingmeng provided a great tour. This exceeded our expectations. Not only did we get lots of amazing food and drink, he provided us with a lot of history and background information and answered our questions. The walk between stops was just as valuable as the food stops as we visited places we probably wouldn't have ourselves. Some previous reviews did note a lack of food stops. We disagreed; while there were only three stops, there was plenty of food at each, and we were very full by the end of it. Chingmeng was very responsive to our needs - e.g. avoiding getting wet in torrential rain and ensuring we knew how to get back to our hotel after the tour. Would highly recommend.Great food tour

What a delightful time! I just finished a weekend exploring Slngapore with Monica. Monica is experienced and extremely well prepared. If you had expressed special needs or interests ahead of time, you can rest assured that they will be well attended to. Monica knows her city well and is able to make quick schedule adjustments as necessitated by rain, excessive heat, exhaustion or changing interests. She is very sensitive to your physical needs and can always find the clean bathroom, rehydration location or attractive eating or resting spot. Monica knows the back alleys and finds the expeditious routes that minimize crowds and provide maximum cover. She seems to know the stories behind every nook and cranny of the multicultural city that is Singapore. Monica is an infectious student of history. I found that Monica anticipated my needs well and was a delightful and interesting person to converse with. She seems to have a great curiosity and passion for people and places. In ten days I will be returning to Singapore for another short visit. Monica was a real treasure source and I now feel prepared to venture out on my own in this lovely city. . We began this experience by using WhatsApp to correspond with Arthur and tailor a tour based on exactly what we wanted to see during our short time in Singapore. He was incredibly accommodating and open to all suggestions! We ended up doing the Chinatown Hawker Stalls (Arthur being lovely enough to take us to one of the Michelin stalls (as requested) in addition to a few others) in addition to Garden by the Bay, Marina Sands, and the Merlion. Arthur was conscious of the weather and impending rain when he took us to the places requested; he attempted to keep us out of the rain and heat which was nice! He even took pictures of us throughout the tour as well and sent some via WhatsApp after! Finally, he provided some history and facts sprinkled in and was lovely throughout! I would highly recommend scheduling a tour with him!!! He made our experience in Singapore a memorable one!Amazing tour with Arthur!

We had a 10 hour layover in SIngapore and decided to try and make the most of it by including a tour to the city. We were able to correspond and even whatsapp our selected tour guide HJ prior to the tour. He met us at the airport as requested, spot on time, and we set off. We had some fantastic sightseeing including a rooftop garden visit which was so panoramic. Unfortunately inclement weather was setting in and placed a bit of a damper on our visit to the light show at garden on the bay, albeit that HJ was able to provide all 4 of us each with an umbrella, to try and make it better. The show was good but unfortunatley we got wet and opted to return to the airport a littel earlier than what we had hoped for, due to being wet. It is no fault of HJ and he was adapting the tour to driving and viewing sights from within the car until the rain stopped. Its a pity our tour got cut short but hey, one doesnt get to dicate the weather. HJ is so friendly and likeable and knowledgeable about so many aspects regarding SIngapore, We posed all sorts of questions and he answerred each, with ease. If we were to return to Singapore again and take another bash at a full tour, i know who we will be contacting, we already said as much to him too, HJ of course.SIngapore highlights tour rain or shine

The first thing Arthur did was ask us about what we were planning on our visit so that he would not overlap with the food tour we had planned. The Dim Sum lunch he orchestrated at Gardens by the Bay was outstanding. We then toured Marina Bay Sands and he knew all the tricks to see the best and avoid the crowds. We (4 adults) booked 2 tours with our guide HJ. The first tour was the hawker market tour, where HJ took us around Chinatown, away from the tourists. We were able to try Singapore's most popular dishes. The next day, HJ showed us for 6 hours around the city and explained a lot about the origins and development of Singapore. The crowning glory was a visit to a secret skyscraper roof garden with a sensational view of the entire city, far away from any tourists. HJ is a fantastic guide who knows and loves his city. We had a 7 hour layover in Singapore on our way back to San Francisco. We chose the 1.5 hour tour because we wanted to get back to the airport on time although on a Sunday it was a quick taxi ride there and back. Stefan was our tour guide and he took us around some of the buildings in downtown while giving us history about Singapore and its path to independence. Jack is a great guide. He has an eye for photography. He even helped us rake better pictures with our phone cameras. we took a nice walk through Kampong Glen and little India and China town. up to the amazing sky park observatory. Rode the cable car for awesome views. we visited the Orchid gardens (wow) and Singapore Botanical gardens. that was just day 1! Day 2 went to the civic center and learned about Singapore planning. Merlion park, river cruuse, Gardens by the bay (amazing), Rhapsody light show (beautiful) and finally the Spectra light show. Ang was immediately engaging, checked ahead of time if any food dislikes. When I met him to start the tour, he was interested to get to know you as a person, interact and talk. He took me to two hawker centers and immediately set about getting an array of dishes from many stalls. He came well prepared with tissues, utensils etc for me to use. Got through many dishes (although many were sweets or desserts). At the end of the tour, he presented me with various gifts including a book of the hawker foods and he took time to go through and tag each dish we tried, which was thoughtful. Was travelling solo so was fine to keep up the pace of trying food and getting around the hawker markets but if I was with my family, may have struggled with the pace. Since i was on my own, the price was probably felt less value for money than if sharing the tour with bigger group. But was still a good way to spend few hours in Singapore and opening eyes to food i may not have tried myself.Hawker stall tour

Deone was a fabulous guide and the sweetest person ever!! She met the 4 of us at our hotel at the time we agreed on and took us on an all day adventure on foot, metro and even arranged for a car at times! We explored so much in one day. Here are some of the things we did: Little India, Tekka Centre, Chinatown, heritage houses on Pagoda street, artist murals, the Maxwell food center (She bought us healthy cold juice drinks and 3 different snacks to share!). After that we went to the Botanic Gardens including Orchid Garden, then Orchard Road, Raffles Hotel. Deonne customized our day to our needs since we did some of the sights on our own the previous day. She also brought lots of water for us, had sanitizing wipes for us and a little gift. She even had our metro passes ready!! If you want to tour Singapore and love to walk, Deone is the guide for you!!!Fabulous Day touring Singapore!!!

Our tour of the hawker markets with Ang was great fun! Ang is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about both the history and culture of Singapore and it's very varied food. He left us with an illustrated guide while he beetled off into the market, which was very helpful when trying to figure out what we were eating. His food choices were generally good, though we did prefer the selection at the first hawker market. The tour perhaps could have been better paced, as we were VERY full after the first market - worth noting that a bite or two of each dish is enough if you want to get through it all (even if it seems a crime to waste all that food). Ang was very solicitous, making sure we had time to use the bathroom and wash our hands during our visits. He left us with some thoughtful gifts and fun memories - thank you Ang!Food, history and fun!
