Atreyu was friendly, interesting, and extremely knowledgeable on a such a broad base of topics - history, European government, university, culture, food, architecture, nature. I asked if we could bike rather than walk, so we were able to cover a lot of ground in 3 hours. Since this was my first visit to Strasbourg, his tour gave me an excellent overview of different parts of the city and I definitely want to return. I would highly recommend Atreyu - he will enrich your time here.Excellent tour!

We had an enlightening tour with Atreyu. His knowledge of Strasbourg is deep. We came away understanding the city better and really enjoyed learning more about the symbolism of the Cathedral. From the moment the seven of us met Atreyu we knew it as going to be a great tour. His smile and wanting to connect with us from the onset assured us of a rewarding experience. Walking the city let us not only learn the rich history due to Atreyu’s knowledge but we were able to see areas we would not of seen on our own. Some areas we explored on our own after.

He did a great job going over some history in Strasbourg. We enjoyed that he got some fresh, local foods to try. All of the food we tried was very good.
Just for information for others, we only went into one restaurant at the end; the rest was outside (he brought along some things and then picked some other things up from some places). If you tend to get cold, that is good to know. It also includes a fair amount of walking; we enjoyed that but also good to know for what shoes to wear. Lots of great info and good food.

Our historical and tasting tour of Strasbourg with Atreyu could not have been any better. Atreyu is an engaging and knowledgeable guide, who has a great sense of humour and is terrific company. Atreyu guided us through the complicated but very interesting history of Strasbourg and Alsace, and explained how the history had affected some culinary matters. His local knowledge is excellent and his choices for tastings were great.
Our tour started with warm knack (wurst) with mustard. We then walked to our first stop and we tasted two types of Munster cheese with delicious nut and fruit bread. Then into the Strasbourg centre for mini Kugelhopf (which were delicious - moist and tasty), eclairs and tarte flambée / flammekuechen with a glass of Alsatian crémant.
Overall an excellent tour with a great guide!An engaging and excellent guide

It was a grey raining morning but Atreyu had so interesting information and amazing sights of Strasbourg to show us the two hours flew by. I highly recommend taking a tour early in your visit here, it will help you to choose the type of activities that suit you personally. Wir hatten mit 4 Personen eine Führung gebucht. Toll fanden schon mal am Anfang, daß Atreyu bereit war, aufgrund einer äusserst miesen Wettervorhersage, sehr kurfristig unsere Tour um einen Tag vorzuverlegen. Dann gings los und Atreyu hat uns immer wieder mit seinem detaillierten Wissen über die Stadtgeschichte beeindruckt. Besonders gut fanden wir auch, dass er uns auch die uns unbekannte Kirche Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune gezeigt hat : einfach wunderschön.

Wir hatten Atreyu vor dem Stadtrundgang unsere Wünsche/ Interessenspektren geschrieben: „...Historische und aktuell, auch umstrittene politische Orte oder Begebenheiten, was machen die Straßburger in ihrem Freizeit? ...gibt es noch andere Köstlichkeiten als die klischeebehafteten Flammkuchen?😉...“ In seiner offenen sympathischen Art präsentierte uns Atreyu bei dem 3 stündigen Spaziergang die tolle Stadt mit ihren verschiedenen Bereichen. Besonders angesprochen haben uns seine Erklärungen zum (bau-)historischen Hintergrund berühmter Gebäude. Die weiteren kulinarischen und kulturellen Tipps von ihm waren sehr zutreffend und auch lecker (z.B. Kougelhopf in der gleichnamigen Maison)!Atreyu ließ keine Wünsche offen!
