my husband and our two teenagers were only in Venice for less than 24 hours, so we're looking for a walking tour that would give us a nice overview of the city. Nicoletta was an amazing guide. So professional, knowledgeable and passionate about her city. The weather was not ideal, but it all worked out. We spent 2 hours exploring hidden gems off the beaten track before taking a water taxi with Nicoletta to see Venice the best way you should see the city - through the canals! Nicoletta went out of her way to schedule a tour around one of the Murano glass factories. Nicoletta dropped us off ( by water taxi) at the glass factory and arranged for them to get us back to Venice. We finished our afternoon with lunch at a restaurant recommended by Nicoletta. I could not have asked for a better day!Wow! What an amazing experience!

We only had 6 hours in Venice the day before leaving for our cruise, so we booked with Valentina to give us insight on Venice while we were there. Not surprisingly, Valentina was knowledgeable about Venice and provided a fundamental understanding of the City and culture. The best part of Valentina, in my opinion, was that we had someone in our family who is less mobile, and she took the opportunity to use our 24 hour water bus tickets to change our itinerary to accommodate her needs. We were still able to see many sights without having to walk as much, which made for a better overall experience. I would highly recommend this for someone who only has a short time in Venice. We took the opportunity to visit Venice at short notice as it is less crowded at the moment. We contacted several guides and let each one know the kind of things we were looking to do. Many just responded with their standard offer but the guides from "with locals" really stood out as helpful and friendly. Matteo especially responded with a detailed proposal that showed that he had really considered what we were looking for with the addition of great local knowledge and some things we hadn't thought of. Easy to keep in contact with and everything went as planned with an on time meeting to start our tour.
