Our guide, Thomas was an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable, friendly, informative and flexible. The rain was off and on and we made the best of doing inside visits to different buildings and landmarks in addition to walking through beautiful gardens and neighborhoods. We found him to be very positive and would recommend him to anyone visiting Paris.

On the way to meet Carlos for our tour, I discovered I was another victim of a Paris Metro pickpocket. While I was careful to guard my wallet, holding on while standing exposed my holstered mobile phone. Carlos helped us get to the third police station to file a report (the first two claimed to be unable to do so) and to communicate with the authorities to facilitate this process. After we completed the report, we set about on the tour and Carlos helped us to take our minds off the potential consequences of the information possibly in the wrong hands. We benefited from his personable demeanor and knowledge of the sights we planned to visit. Anyone electing to choose Carlos should be more than pleased with that engagement.

I have visited Paris on another two occasions but this visit was certainly the standout and most memorable and I think part of this was because we kicked off our time in Paris with a fabulous walking tour through the streets with Welly as our tour guide. We really loved getting to hear more about the history of this wonderful city and have a local take us through some of the notable but maybe less touristy and less well known sites that were local to Saint Germaine where we stayed. Having a tour flexible to our preferences and from a local gave us a whole new perspective and insights into Paris we personally found to be valuable and something we got more from than a standard hop on hop off tour that is more touristy and covers the sites everyone knows. Welly was also great at sharing information and planning a tour that engaged our children ages 11 and 13 and answering their questions. He was patient with them and his English was easily understood by us Australians with limited French language skills! Lastly he really took note of our interests and preferences during the tour and afterwards sent us a lovely bunch of recommendations crafted to our personal interests that were convenient to where we were staying in terms of restaurants, shopping and places to visit. We found this personalised touch very thoughtful and useful. I am so glad we booked this tour with Welly and believe it really helped us all fall in love with Paris. We will be back again!
