So many hidden gems in plain sight!

We had a great tour! We enjoyed weaving through the city and learning about the history behind buildings and statues we otherwise would have just walked by. Lucien was also funny and engaging, we liked his little personal stories as much as we liked Napoleon’s!

I would definitely recommend Lucien as a guide in Paris, as he is a charming parisien, who will let you know the most interesting details about the city, and its history. Also, Lucien will show famous places, as well as hidden sites that only locals would now. Not to mention individual approach that Lucien offers, as he had considered our wishes. We had a wonderful time, as we also had pleasant conversations. Next time we are in Paris we will definitely have a tour with Lucien again.

History walk in Paris

Lucien gave us an incredible educational experience in Paris, as we walked and learned about Napoleon and the history of the French Revolution. My younger kids liked exploring the places Lucien took us to, and my oldest and I liked the history behind it. Lucien was accommodating all ages in our family (8-16) and was a great tour guide.

Lucien: the hisory teacher I wish I had

Lucien’s knowledge of the Napoleonic era is encyclopedic. But, you never feel like he’s reciting from a dusty old history book. With Lucian, history comes to life. He has such a passion for the subject that you can’t help but be caught up in it. And, beyond a thorough understanding of the era, he also has in-depth knowledge of the weaponry, and the design decisions that lead to them. Details you might’ve missed if you had gone to the museum yourself, or even with a run-of-the-mill tour guide, become clear through Lucien’s words. By the time the tour was done, it felt like we had become friends. He is truly the history teacher I wish I’d had growing up.
