There are so many things to do in Paris today. From impressive palaces to chic museums, romantic streets or crafty artisans, explore Paris today for an unforgettable experience. Below you can find exactly what to do in Paris today to have a memorable trip Sacre-Coeur If you have time for only one thing to do in Paris today, go visit Sacre-Coeur in Montmartre. Ivory domes and stunning views of Paris might keep you outside, but the inside of the cathedral is also a must if you don’t want to miss out on the largest mosaic ceiling in France. Climb the 300 steps of the dome and fall in love with Paris from another perspective. If you find yourself there in the evening, look for the beautifully lit Eiffel Tour. Explore the bohemian neighborhood of Montmartre and relax over a glass of Chardonnay and a tasty French snack. Musee d’Orsay Impressionism lovers this is for you! This fantastic architectural gem houses masterpieces belonging to artists such as Degas, Cezanne, Lautrec, Monet, and Van Gogh. Built in a former railway station, Musee d’Orsay is one of the best museums in Paris. Might not be as big as the Louvre, but the colorful atmosphere, stunning paintings, and sculptures, the beautiful views of the city, make it unique. After getting your dose of art, relax over a cup of coffee with Sacre-Coeur right before your eyes. Versailles Palace Young King Louis XIV got something right! He took his father’s lodge and turned in a stunning, one of a kind palace. Versailles is full of cascading crystal chandeliers, dramatic frescoes, and golden statues. Check out the famous Hall of Mirrors and see history unfold right before your eyes. Thought the palace was jaw-dropping? Take a walk through the perfectly groomed gardens. Their design is close to perfection, and seem endless when you look at them. This technique of arranging the bodies of water in specific angles that make you feel it never ends was first implemented here, and then at most of the palaces in the area. If you’ve never been speechless this is your chance.
We scheduled this tour as both A birthday celebration and a bonjour Paris celebration. Being amateur cooks we were curious to see Paris from the viewpoint of local. The tour was more than we could’ve asked for. The food experience was wonderful, but the best part of all was our tour guide Gelsomina. She is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and was able to provide not only food related information, but history and culture. A wonderful experience. Think she should have her own TV program to promote Paris and Parisian food. Would highly recommend to anybody interested in food, history, culture, and general knowledge. Definitely a high point of our entire trip.
Welly is very knowledgeable and easy to understand, thank you Welly for our amazing morning
We are so glad we booked to walk with Abi on our first day in Paris! She was so great to customize our walk to show us off the beaten path parts of town and help us get familiar with the layout of the city! Abi is friendly, fun and the perfect match for our 3 generation girls trip this summer!
Gelsomina was a wealth of information and gave us options for flexibility to accomodate our interest and expectations. Her love for Paris is infections. Just what we needed to start our trip off right.
