Beer Tours in Budapest

My husband and I both really enjoyed this experience. And my husband does not usually like tours or anything to do with tourist things as we come from a very touristy town ourselves. Zsofia showed us some really cool spots, told us some cool stuff, let my daughter paint her nails, helped us drag our daughter and her stroller on a pub crawl. Which isn’t for everyone but she didn’t seem to blink an eye. Was very appreciated as traveling with a young one is difficult sometimes but we still want to get in some fun for mom & dad. We booked a tour with three friends, and had a great experience! Zsofia had a selection of craft beer bars and shops planned for us, which we would’ve not found otherwise. You learn a lot about Hungary, the history and development of the city, and of course, craft beer. Highly recommend!

As a resident of Colorado - a state known for craft beer, I was thrilled to discover this tour and immediately booked with Zsofia. When I think Hungary, I usually think goulash (English spelling) and wine (especially Tokaji) so I was surprised to learn that craft beer is a big thing not only in Budapest but in Hungary in general and I owe this new perspective to Zsofia. Zsofia arrived on time and away we went. Over the course of three hours, we learned a ton about the brewing scene as well as a little about Zsofia, who is very sweet! I also appreciated her deep love and knowledge of the craft scene, her lack of pretension - she loves beer but is no snob or gatekeeper and the sheer pleasure she takes in sharing the scene and brews of her city is evident. Zsofia helped us find some amazing local places both small and intimate as well as bigger venues. Zsofia took care to ask about our preferences and help guide our choices as well as providing us with an opportunity to try new things as well. I heartily recommend this tour for anyone with a love of craft beer and I especially recommend Zsofia!

We had a very nice time with Zsofia. We went to some bars we wouldn't have found ourselves. She also gave very good recommendations where to go and what to do. And also some fun and interesting tidbits about Budapest and Hungary.
