One of the absolute best tours we’ve ever done. After many trips to Firenze over the last ten years, we finally had the chance to explore Fiesole and Marco was the perfect guide. He was engaging, personable, incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to spend three hours with learning the vast history and culture of the area. Fiesole is a hidden gem with a fascinating history dating to the Etruscans. A highlight of the tour was the ruins of the Roman theater complete with temple and spa, and Marco’s ability to bring it to life and create vivid imagery of what it would have looked like in its prime was spectacular. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history and culture of this rich area and if you’re lucky enough to get Marco as your guide you’ll come away much richer!
We had a great day with Enzo. He grew up in the area, so he really knows the mountains, and he was a lot of fun and easy to be with. He listened well to the kind of day we wanted to have. You may be able to do the Path of God without a guide, but particularly in November (the low season) it is useful to have someone help you with the logistics of where and how to go. In addition to his wealth of information about the path and the surrounding nature, Enzo took us on the ferry to Amalfi and for a tour of Atrani — all very beautiful. Thank you Enzo for a memorable day.
I took my adult children on this hike and it was one of our most memorable and favorite experiences of our entire trip to Italy. Enzo is incredibly knowledgeable about the social, geological, and ecological history of the region, and pointed out various plants and their properties which my children found really interesting. He is also very safety oriented, which makes for an enjoyable trip. The pacing is good, though I wouldn’t recommend any hike in this area for people without proper footwear or with low levels of activity. However, I am not in the best shape of my life, and my daughter is recovering from cancer, and while it was not an easy hike, it was still extremely enjoyable and doable for us. I would highly recommend booking this hike or any of Enzo’s hikes. He has one through the wineries as well.
We had a fabulous day with Pierpaolo. We saw amazing views . We enjoyed wonderful food and wine including strawberries and truffles in Nemi and great wine in Nemi and Frascati. Pierpaolo told us of the history of the area and was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour if visiting Rome.
