Belvedere Del Gianicolo Tours in Florence

We were a group of friends, some of us had been to Florence before and some for the first time. We wanted to explore the city with an expert guide, someone who had the inside track on not just the most popular spots, but also those hidden gems which only a city with the history of Florence can offer. Alessandra was an amazing guide with whom we spent the entire day. She knew when we needed a coffee break, just to rest the feet for a bit. She also took us to an amazing local restaurant where the pasta was absolutely delicious and only €7 a head. There were so many interesting sights, including a rooftop view of the city from an ancient tower, a boutique perfumery which was originally run by Dominican friars and several frescoes and paintings in small churches you would never find yourself. I can really recommend Alessandra if you want to delve into this historic city.

This was our first trip to Florence. To be honest when we first arrived, we thought Florence would be a one and done for us, but after our tour with Cristina, we are definitely going back! Cristina is native to Florence and her love and pride for her city is so evident and infectious. She is extremely well-versed about the city ‘s history and showed us all of the hidden gems including the most delicious gelato! When the tour was over, she recommended wonderful restaurants that we enjoyed and directed us to some really nice authentic local shops. We really enjoyed our day with Cristina and she completely turned our limited first impression to an authentic awesome experience that we want to revisit!

We spent an amazing morning with Christina. Her extensive knowledge of art and history was incredible. We were shown hidden gems, local spots and we all loved every single minute of the tour!
