There are so many amazing things to do in Florence today! From stunning architecture and marble work to romantic sunsets, breath-taking art museums or delicious gelato, explore Florence today for an unforgettable experience. Below you can find exactly what to do in Florence today to have a memorable trip. Piazza del Duomo Are you ready to remain speechless? Piazza del Duomo is one of the main squares in Florence and is without a doubt one of the most beautiful you will ever see in your life. The architecture, the marble details, and the entire history behind this amazing complex is a must. Discover the Florence Cathedral, Giotto’s Campanile, The Baptistery of St. John and the Loggia del Bigallo. You can also go to the top of the tower for some amazing views of the city. Feeling a bit peckish? There are numerous cute cafes and restaurants to grab a drink or a bite, or even try the famous bistecca fiorentina. Ponte Vecchio Florence is a masterpiece, and you can find something amazing at every corner. If you want to see the most romantic bridge in the world go through the Corridoio Vasariano and visit Ponte Vecchio. Spanning the river Arno, this colorful bridge was first acknowledged in 996, but the exact year of construction is not known. A myriad of shops and tiny boutiques, built into the sides of the bridge, will seduce you! There’s a tiny window in the middle of the bridge, so if you love magical sunsets you have to be there for amazing views of the Arno river at dawn. Palazzo Vecchio The most important administrative building is also one of the oldest and most impressive ones in Florence. Built around 1299, with a square design and crenulations, it looks like a castle. It was designed by the same architect who worked on the Duomo and Basilica Santa Croce. The facade tells the entire history of Florence, while the interior will take you back in history with originally decorated rooms. Don’t miss out on the Hercules Room and The room of Cybele. Uffizi Palace and Gallery The Uffizi Gallery is one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world! The building itself is a work of art, with marvelous statues all around. Renaissance lovers rejoice! You can explore an exquisite art collection featuring Michelangelo, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Titian, and Caravaggio. On your way out don’t forget to fall in love with Piazza Della Signoria, and enjoy some delicious gelato or a fresh Aperol Spritz.

Wonderful intro to Florence!

Elizabeth was a wonderful guide and showed us around the less touristy part of Florence. We enjoyed sampling the locals favorite foods and spend some time in the market. We tasted things that we wouldn’t have ordinarily tasted with her guidance. I’d highly recommend any tours with this company. It was an intimate tour with only the four of us and we learned so much!

Christina was so lovely, and gave a really great tour! My kids were tired and cranky, and she was so patient with them and explained things at their level. Absolutely recommend!
