Below you can find exactly what to do in Florence today to have a memorable trip. Piazza del Duomo Are you ready to remain speechless? Piazza del Duomo is one of the main squares in Florence and is without a doubt one of the most beautiful you will ever see in your life. The architecture, the marble details, and the entire history behind this amazing complex is a must. Discover the Florence Cathedral, Giotto’s Campanile, The Baptistery of St. John and the Loggia del Bigallo. You can also go to the top of the tower for some amazing views of the city. Feeling a bit peckish? There are numerous cute cafes and restaurants to grab a drink or a bite, or even try the famous bistecca fiorentina. Ponte Vecchio Florence is a masterpiece, and you can find something amazing at every corner. If you want to see the most romantic bridge in the world go through the Corridoio Vasariano and visit Ponte Vecchio. Spanning the river Arno, this colorful bridge was first acknowledged in 996, but the exact year of construction is not known. A myriad of shops and tiny boutiques, built into the sides of the bridge, will seduce you! There’s a tiny window in the middle of the bridge, so if you love magical sunsets you have to be there for amazing views of the Arno river at dawn. Palazzo Vecchio The most important administrative building is also one of the oldest and most impressive ones in Florence. Built around 1299, with a square design and crenulations, it looks like a castle. It was designed by the same architect who worked on the Duomo and Basilica Santa Croce. The facade tells the entire history of Florence, while the interior will take you back in history with originally decorated rooms. Don’t miss out on the Hercules Room and The room of Cybele. Uffizi Palace and Gallery The Uffizi Gallery is one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world! The building itself is a work of art, with marvelous statues all around. Renaissance lovers rejoice! You can explore an exquisite art collection featuring Michelangelo, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Titian, and Caravaggio. On your way out don’t forget to fall in love with Piazza Della Signoria, and enjoy some delicious gelato or a fresh Aperol Spritz.
We had the absolute pleasure of taking a food and drink tour in Florence with Giorgio, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Giorgio was everything you could hope for in a guide – warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for Florence’s history and culture shone through in every story he told, adding so much depth and color to each stop we made. Whether we were sipping wine, sampling local delicacies, or strolling through the charming streets, Giorgio made it all come alive with fascinating facts and anecdotes. What really stood out was his kindness and flexibility. He was incredibly accommodating to our group’s needs and made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the tour. He had a great sense of humor and created such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere—it felt like exploring the city with a very well-informed friend. We can’t recommend Giorgio enough. If you're in Florence and want an unforgettable food and cultural experience, look no further!
This was our second tour with Federica and we would join her again the next time we are in town. She is highly knowledgeable about the history and art of Florence. We definitely would recommend Frederica!
Gianni was the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we met, his warmth, professionalism, and deep local knowledge transformed a great tour into something unforgettable. Every detail was thought through — timing, atmosphere, storytelling — and he made everyone feel welcome and special. You can feel how passionate he is about what he does, and it shines through every minute. If you’re looking for a truly authentic, world-class experience, look no further. This wasn’t just a tour — it was a memory we’ll carry for life. Thank you, Gianni!
We were a family group of five adults, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time with Christy. As we are not drinkers and I communicated this with her ahead of time, she substituted wine tasting with addition food tastings. We loved everything we tasted, from pastries with coffee to sandwiches. She had a great relationship with all the vendors, especially at the market. My son who is a “foodie” describes the tour as epic, and said it was the best he’s ever taken!
