We had an unforgettable walking tour through the heart of Ravenna’s old town. The experience was both culturally rich and visually stunning. One of the highlights was visiting a breathtaking mausoleum filled with intricate mosaics that felt like stepping into a jewel box of history. The Basilica of San Vitale was equally impressive—its mosaics are some of the most extraordinary I’ve ever seen, full of vibrant color and exquisite detail.
We also explored a historic fort with imposing medieval walls, and tucked away nearby was a small, unassuming church that held moving mosaics depicting early Christian martyrs—quiet and deeply powerful. The tour concluded in the city’s charming main square, where we enjoyed a delicious scoop of gelato under the Italian sun.
