61 Things To Do In One Day in Rome

A journey through the rich history of the Jewish people in Rome.

The Jewish Museum in Rome is one of the most important and largest museums in the world dedicated to Jewish history, culture and art. The museum was founded in 1971 by the Italian Jewish writer, historian and journalist, Itzhak Zuckermann. The museum houses a rich and diverse collection of artifacts, paintings, sculptures, books and documents which tell the story of the Jewish people from the time of the Roman Empire to the present day. The museum also has a library and archive which are open to the public. The museum is located in the center of Rome, in the ancient Jewish Ghetto, which is a short walk from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. The museum is open every day except Saturday and admission is free.

Whst an adventure!

We enjoyed our tour with Amandio! He navigated us through Rome as a true pro…not an easy thing for a family of five with three young kids. We saw amazing views/sights and learned history we wouldn’t have otherwise. Amandio kept both the adults and the kids engaged. I was a bit nervous on the bikes, but we made it! He guided us well and made sure we were okay. What a neat experience.

Best walking/ biking tour ever

We just did a tour with Amandio a few days back . We were a large group , 5 adults n 4 kids. From the start, he was super communicative and accommodating to our needs. He took the kids and grandma on baboe bike - so they were all super happy to not have to walk all the time ;) . He also knew very well ( better than us) how to connect with the kids- with the way he kept them entertained with puzzles, jokes, even games and dancing ! He was also super funny and kept us entertained with his stories. The pizza and gelato and canoli stops were great . When the tour ended , we all ( especially the kids) were sad to say good- bye. We felt we were saying good bye to a good friend ! We certainly hope to see him another time and will highly, highly recommend him to anyone .

Everything was perfect! 10/10!!

Amandio was absolutely amazing! He was very knowledgeable, funny and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We would 100% come back and have him show us around other parts of Rome. Can’t emphasize enough how much we appreciated him! One of the best things we’ve done this vacation!

Wonderful hidden gems

Valeria is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Worked with us to customize our tour to our tastes and showed us many hidden gems and helped us understand them and their significance. Gave excellent suggestions for local food to eat after the tour that did not disappoint!
