The Jewish Museum in Rome is one of the most important and largest museums in the world dedicated to Jewish history, culture and art. The museum was founded in 1971 by the Italian Jewish writer, historian and journalist, Itzhak Zuckermann. The museum houses a rich and diverse collection of artifacts, paintings, sculptures, books and documents which tell the story of the Jewish people from the time of the Roman Empire to the present day. The museum also has a library and archive which are open to the public. The museum is located in the center of Rome, in the ancient Jewish Ghetto, which is a short walk from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. The museum is open every day except Saturday and admission is free.
Valeria is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and personable. Worked with us to customize our tour to our tastes and showed us many hidden gems and helped us understand them and their significance. Gave excellent suggestions for local food to eat after the tour that did not disappoint!
Great tour with Claudio, who adapted the tour to our time constraints. We did a good mix of famous locations and less known ones, which was perfect for our team, since some of us already knew Rome. It was also a good mix in terms of information about the city and pure biking. Sometimes, the guide is spending too much time talking about a place, while we want to see as many different places as possible. With Claudio, it was exactly the right level of interesting information we needed. I recommand highly.
It was an absolute pleasure spending the morning with Amandio! Our kids aged 10 and 8 were engaged with facts, games and jokes. Our youngest shared the tandem e-bike with Amandio as there was no complaining about pedalling up hills. Lots of local knowledge and history. Thank you Amandio for such a memorable tour!
Amandio provided a wonderful tour experience for our family. He was knowledgeable, fun and flexible. We were a little nervous about using bikes but it made our day that much more interesting. And we got to try some yummy Italian treats. Highly recommended!
