Torre Argentina: The Most Exciting Place in Rome!

Largo di Torre Argentina is a square in Rome, Italy, that hosts four Republican Roman temples, and the remains of Pompey's Theatre. It is located in the ancient Campus Martius. The name of the square comes from the Torre Argentina, which takes its name from the city of Strasbourg, whose Latin name was Argentoratum. The other tower in the square is the medieval Torre delle Milizie. The square is home to numerous cats.

Paola was awesome. She took me around on her vespa for part of my tour so I got to see a lot more than just walking around. She was fun and insightful and was the perfect beginning to my Rome vacation.

What a great start of our trip!

We enjoyed our energetic tour with Max. Walking from one hidden gem to another, learning about Roman, Renaissance and more recent history. Highly recommended to get submerged in the cultural, historical and gastronomical richness of the city.

About local
A high level tour.

Francesca is a very communicative guide, and makes us feel confortabe from the beginning. We had a great time in Trastevere with her, and saw things we would never have noticed on our own. She has an academic background in art, which makes a lot of difference. I would recommend Francesca to a friend.

The Roman Friend You Wish You Had

Daniele was an amazing guide and was like the dear Roman friend we all wish we had. His insights into Rome, Roman culture and history, architecture, and his knowledge of Italy as a whole is unmatched. Time spent with Daniele was time well spent, and my family and I were very happy to have spent 1.5 engaging hours with him. We wish it were more! I would encourage anyone who wants a kind, genuine, engaging and worldly Roman Friend to choose Daniele as your guide.
