Nice way to experience something new.

Our recent trip from Rome to Cancala with our tour guide, Matteo, was nothing short of spectacular. Mateo’s extensive passion for the region brought the rich history and vibrant culture of Cancala to life and gave as a nice brake from the big city. One of the highlights of our journey was a delightful stop for lovely cofe and pastries and lunch at a charming local restaurant later on the day. The culinary experience was unparalleled, offering the best food we had during our entire trip. Overall, Matteo’s guidance and the exquisite lunch made our trip to Cancala truly memorable.

Claudio was amazing. He customized our tour to accommodate everyone from our family. From the start with local fresh cappuccinos to walking/hiking tour of on the hillside of Tuscolo to an unforgettable lunch at a local restaurant, Claudio paid attention to every detailed. It was a amazing tour. I would HIGHLY recommend Claudio. Thank you again Claudio!!!

Beautiful basilicas with a fantastic guide

This tour took me to all four papal basilicas in Rome. The date was a bit nutty because it was the Jubilee, but my guide Angelica dealt with chaos calmly and intelligently. The basilicas are all stunning, and you really get a sense of how the Catholic church instilled awe in the faithful with grand columns, imposing structures, and beautiful use of frescos and mosaics that depict the life of Christ and the saints for people in the past who were largely illiterate. Angelica knows so much about the buildings and she speaks perfect English (although I requested the tour in Italian), and spending the day with her learning about the history of the basilicas and chatting was a true pleasure. The day ended with dinner with Angelica and Emmanuele at an authentic Roman restaurant outside the Centro Storico, with no tourists to be found. The food and wine were delicious, and I had a great time talking to both of them. If you are interested in learning about and seeing the magnificent papal basilicas of Rome, I guarantee you this is the best way to do it. Wear comfortable shoes, though, because you will do a lot of walking.

An unforgettable day in charming Calcata.

We spent a whole day together with the friendly Matteo. We started the day at a hidden gem of a café in Rome, then drove to Lago di Bracciano before arriving in the charming village of Calcata. Matteo was knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about the places we visited and about Rome in general. We had an exquisite lunch at IL Guazzabuglio. Before heading back to Rome, we visited the tearoom La Sala, which boasts 101 types of tea and over 500 teapots. Thank you so much, Matteo, for an unforgettable day. But be warned—if you don’t like cats, Calcata is teeming with them!
