  • Which places can you visit on your walking tours in Rome?

There are lots of fascinating places and natural sights you can see by walking in Rome. All you must do is tell your host where you want to go and they’ll make sure to take you there. If you’ve never been to Rome before, we suggest you to follow this path for your first Rome walking tour: start from Piazza della Repubblica. This is one of the most famous squares in Rome and it’s easy to reach. From there follow via XX Settembre until you reach Piazza del Quirinale. This square is on the tallest Roman hill. From here the view is magnificent. You can see the old city in all his glory as well as see some amazing monuments and parks.

From here you can go down, following a beautiful flight of steps and reach Via della Dataria. Nearby you’ll find the famous Trevi Fountain, most likely surrounded by tourists. Walk in via del Tritone and enter via Sistina. This way you’ll be able to reach Piazza di Spagna with its famous stairs and church on top. Follow via del Corso to reach a smaller square called Piazza Sal Lorenzo in Lucina. This place is quieter and it’s full of bars here you can get a traditional snack.

After enjoying a quick pause, follow the big marble dome to reach the Pantheon. Not far from it you will reach Piazza Navona. Its considered the most beautifulk square in Rome. From here follow via del Governo Vecchio and enjoy the small boutiques and traditional shops. Follow along until you reach Castel Sant’Angelo, a majestic castle near Saint Peter.

This is a great way to enjoy many of the famous and not-so-famous beauties that Rome can offer. Do you prefer something surrounded by nature? Try with the Terme of Caracalla, elegant buildings with hot springs. Or maybe check out Castel Gandolfo Lake and, less famous but more beautiful, the Villa del Priorato di Malta.

Super fun family day!

We had an awesome time touring the colosseum and forum with Valeria. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient and taught us so much. She was very attentive to our 11, 9 & 5 year old kids and made the tour fun for them as well!

Amazing complete tour

Vania was experienced and fun. She utilized her lifetime in Rome to guide us through the ins and outs of the city. Churches, art, food, hidden gems, and great recommendations for the reminder of our trip. I am thankful for her time and would recommend her tours!

Real Food Tour With A Real Roman

Myself, my wife and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed our time with Vania who is a real Roman. We did the tour in the early evening and the amount of food that we tasted was more than enough for our usual evening meal. Vania steered us to foods and flavors that are uniquely Roman. The small establishments that she chose for us were a testament to the artisanal nature of their craft and also ones that she frequents with her family and friends. Vania finished our tour atop Janiculum Hill with a wonderful evening view of Rome - a fitting end to our first day in Rome.
