Initially we were considering taking the tour with the audio guide- but finally decided to have a tour guide and I am so happy we did. We scheduled a private tour for a small group of five.
The tour ended up being one of the high points of our trip to Italy. I would highly recommend booking a private tour for Pompeii. There is so much to learn and so much ground to cover in a trip.

Our tour with Raffaele was wonderful! He is so knowledgeable and engaged us the entire tour. Would highly recommend booking with Raffaele. His experience with Roman history is unmatched! Loved every moment and learned so much!

A perfect tour
Communication with Carlo was excellent both before the tour & during. He speaks perfect English.
He helped with what train we needed to catch from Naples & met us at the station.
He was super organised with water & tickets.
Carlo was extremely knowledgeable about Pompeii & could answer all our questions. His itinerary was perfect, we saw so much & he knew where to take all the good photos.
He even walked us back to the train & helped us get tickets.
The tour was like hanging out with an old friend! Would recommend.

Incredible day in Pompeii
I have been to Pompeii before but it was an entirely new experience going again with Noemi as our guide. Her passion for Pompeii and the area is infectious, and she is incredibly generous when it comes to sharing her knowledge of this important event in history. I did this tour with my three sons (9, 11 and 13) who were kept completely engaged by Noemi from start to finish. This was the highlight of our trip to Italy and I would recommend Noemi to everyone.
