One day in Verona

We had one day in Verona and are so delighted that we spent 3 hours with Maria Pia. She seamlessly took us on a tour of Verona including it’s history, architecture and culture that could be described as an adventure!

Verona with the Local Perspective

Alessandro was a fantastic tour guide! As a local, he showed us things that we would easily have overlooked. His local perspective was exactly the kind of tour to give us an experience that only few could provide. His knowledge and insights brought Verona to life for us. I would highly recommend a tour with Alessandro!

Fun, personal view of downtown Verona

There were 6 of us on the tour with Frank. We’re all gardeners, and Frank made a point of showing us interesting plants, such as the oldest Plane tree in Italy. He gave us a ton of information about the history of the area, making it fun for us by giving us “points” for remembering important facts. He checked often that we were absorbing what he told us and would say things in different ways to make sure we got it. He had several visual aids (maps, old photos, etc) that helped bring history alive. Thoroughly enjoyable and valuable 3 hours!

Hope You Enjoyed the Biscuits!

We have recently returned from our visit to Verona and Lake Garda and wanted to say how much we enjoyed our tour of The Verona Arena and surrounding area with Francesco. He showed us many things that we would almost certainly have missed if we had just explored on our own and throughout our time with him his passion and knowledge for the city he calls home was evident. So, if you want to be informed and entertained during your stay in Verona then Francesco is a great choice! (And he does like Garibaldi biscuits!)
