A great tour in Kobe with Pere!

Pere is a very friendly and welcoming guy who obviously enjoys showing people around his adopted country. We covered a lot of ground on our 8 hour tour, and learned a great deal about Himeji Castle and Kobe itself. I would definitely recommend Pere to guide you.

Sake and Kobe Beef: Is it worth it?

Short answer: Yes! We’ve done a couple of „10 Tastings“ food tours in Japan and this is definitely different and special. Of course the tour is expensive but then so is high quality Kobe Beef. It’s not something you can do cheaply or if you do find a place selling inexpensive “Kobe beef” you’re probably being ripped off. We had a great afternoon with Peri who gave us great insights into the world of Sake and how it’s made, the background of what makes Kobe beef special and showed us around some fun parts of Kobe. Obviously the highlights were tasting the Sake and Kobe beef. It was also interesting getting to know a perspective on the expat experience from someone who’s moved to Japan and been here a couple of years. Would highly recommend the tour if you want to get to know real Kobe beef!

Very nice tour

We booked the sake tour with guide Mako and we had a very great time. We learned a lot about sake and we tried several different flavours. Mako was a very nice guide and when you are in Kyoto you defenitly should book this tour with her

Amazing Guide!

I'd give Ollie 5/5 stars. He was a super friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He adapted the walking tour to our interests - bringing us to a bamboo garden in a beautiful fall forest when we told him we like nature and also to a building with walls covered in murals when I told him I'm a painter. The "Tom Cruise" steps aka the steps Tom Cruise walked up in the last Samurai was a cool spot to see too. I am also thankful to Ollie for knowing of a delicious vegan noodle restaurant and ending the walking tour at that location so we could grab lunch. It was one of our favorite meals that we had in Japan.
