Short Tours in Penang

Very enjoyable tours with Joo Bee. Her local knowledge of places - background, history, customs, etc added so much depth to the tours. Two days of casual walking seeing talking, just like old friends!

Our guide Remy was amazing. He was passionate about Penang and street art. We saw many parts of Georgetown we would not have seen otherwise. He had great recommendations for the remainder of our trip. I wish we had time to take his food tour.

Sometimes you do a Withlocals tour with a guide who you know, you’ll always remember. That guide becomes one of the best parts of your trip! Remy was this person and more! I adore seeing Street Art around the world and always hope a tour will give me some very unique insights into the pieces, place, artists, their beliefs. This tour did not disappoint! Remy is a very gifted man, artistic, passionate & patient. He took care to explain everything to us- he never rushed and actually went over time, making sure we understood everything we needed to. He is Penang, born and bred. He knows and he cares. We loved our day so much we ate dinner that night at his restaurant @ De- Brick in Georgetown. Lucky enough to meet his lovely wife - such a great team. Definitely a must to finish your perfect Penang Day!! Thank you both for everything- we’ll be back!
