Fabulous Oaxacan Food Tour

What a delightful and delicious first morning in Oaxaca. Carlos shared his passion for Oaxacan cuisine with our family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved the street tacos, small local market where we ate tamales, tlayudas and drank tajete. We sampled exotic local fruit, sweets and even purchased mole to take home. We finished the tour with full tummies and lots of stories and knowledge about Oaxacan cuisine. It was perfect for us and our boys (12 and 10), the youngest who’s a little picky tried so many new flavours under Carlos gentle encouragement. We highly recommend Carlos and this tour!

A lovely tour of the artisan market

I contacted Luz and asked her to set up a custom tour for me. I wanted to find some handmade jewelry to bring home for gifts. She took me through the artisan market and helped me find every last item on my list. We then took a stroll to try an amazing Gordita and finished off with a lovely walk through the historic central area of Mexico City. She’s knowledgeable about the area, had interesting facts about everything we saw and went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable, which is no small feat. She even walked me to a good spot to catch an Uber and waited with me until I was picked up. I felt looked after from start to finish. It was a great time and a lovely cap on what was already amazing trip. Highly recommended. Great guide, better person. Thank you!

Great intro to lots of different tastes

We had a great time with Daniel on a walking food tour exploring neighborhood places. This was our first evening in Mexico City so it helped orient us to the different areas, too. Street side quesadillas, yes crickets(!), spicy candy, tacos, churros it was hard to keep up and you’ll be stuffed afterwards. Really enjoyed learning more about some history as well as the food scene in Mexico City.

Enjoyable Tour

Had a really good time on Mariel’s tour. She was really knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and took us to some delicious and authentic taco stands. Highly recommend
