Personalized city tours with local hosts.
Learn about their personal stories, and find out how you can explore Casablanca together
We booked Youssef for two separate tours. His love for his country and culture is evident. He shared about history, food customs, geography and various elements of Moroccan culture in order to give us a broad understanding and deepen our appreciation for this place. I'm grateful to have had such a caring and qualified guide. I would definitely recommend Youssef for anyone looking for a a guide to introduce them to the many wonders of Morocco.
Youssef's food tour was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to try a bunch of different Moroccan dishes that locals would eat in Casablanca and I wasn't disappointed. From fresh oysters at the fish market to snails on the street to a sampling of tagines (so many different parts of the cow!) to delicious Moroccan pastries with mint tea; and that's just scratching the surface! Booking the evening tour was truly the right choice because the vibes were different and the sun wasn't as hot. I appreciate Youssef's touring style and will 100% connect again the next time I'm in Casablanca for a city tour.
Youseff was fun, interesting, and informative! The four of us learned about the food, history, and culture of Morocco. We sampled items at a juice bar, patisserie, and fish market while strolling the streets of Casablanca. Our seafood meal: oysters on the half shell, sea bass, witchy fish, shrimp, and sole accompanied by Moroccan salad, Zaalouk (eggplant dip), and a Spicy Carrot Dip, with plenty of bread was scrumptious! We finished the tour relaxing and chatting together, with mint tea and the sweets from the patisserie at a gorgeous restaurant. Wonderful afternoon! Thank you, Youseff!
I had such a thoroughly enjoyable experience in Casablanca with Youssef. I was in town for only one day and had the afternoon set aside for this food tour. I sampled great local foods: breads, tagine, pastries, seafood, teas, juices. In between we wandered through the central market where I was able to buy local products like spices, oils, sardines. Also learned to haggle with merchants for other non food items. Youssef was warm, friendly with a great sense of humor. When walking around, always looked out for my well being. I dislike the term foodie but this is a great tour for people who like to eat and try new things. By the end, Youssef felt like family. I recommend it highly for an excellent insider's experience.
