We had a truly wonderful few hours with Ihor who took us onto the Oslo Fjord visiting the islands of Hovedøya, Lindøya and Gressholmen. All islands were diffierent; (i) Hovedøya had ruins of an ancient monastery, WW2 bunker and cannons, (ii) Lindøya had over 300 brightly coloured (red, green and yellow) cabins where City folk escape to for a break and (iii) Gressholmen was more of a ‘wild’ island that had less development. This island was our favourite because of the stunning views down the Oslo Fjord and back up to the City. Ihor is a lovely guy, with a lot of amazing stories and his knowledge of Oslo is incredible. The other thing that made the trip is Ihor’s passion for Oslo and this really was engaging. If you’re looking to do something different away from the hustle and bustle of the City then this tour is definitely for you. Just make sure you check the weather and wear the right clothing and footwear - this is a must even if you think otherwise.
