Our 2 teenage girls and us had an amazing time with Bartek exploring the mountain villages and kayaking on the border of Slovakia. The drive was scenic and we stopped at the castle of a 13th century Hungarian prince. When we arrived we decided to get a snack before kayaking and found a tiny little shop in a local villagers home where we bought local kielbasa, bread and cheese. We then kayaked through the stunning scenery and quaint villages and finished with a local dinner on the river.
Absolutely wonderful day with Alex. We learned so much about the history of Poland on the ride to and from Jasna Gora. He arranged for guided tour in English and also made sure we had seats at a very crowded Sunday mass in the chapel which was a truly moving experience. On the way back to Krakow, we drove through part of the Trail of Eagles Nest to see the Pieskowa Skala castle. Alex also made a reservation for dinner and Klezmer concert and dropped us off at the restaurant in Kazimierz.
Alex is a wonderful guide. We loved every minute spent with him. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and He is an excellent driver. The next time we come to Poland, we will ask for him by name.
Alex was terrific- a 5 star in all regards for our party of four. English excellent and knows a lot about Poland and all of Europe as well as Krakow. Thanks Alex, for a job well done.
