The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a fascinating place to visit. Located in Krakow in Poland, it is one of the world's oldest working salt mines. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mine is over 700 years old and extends to a depth of 327 metres. It has a network of tunnels, chambers and lakes, and is lit by salt lamps. The temperature underground is a constant 14 degrees Celsius. Visitors can explore the mine on a guided tour, which includes a visit to the Chapel of St Kinga, which is decorated with salt sculptures.
Tomaz was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the city and as well as the country. He showed us the best spots to visit and important places in Kraków’s history. I would 100% recommend taking this tour
We are a family of 4 adults and thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Tomasz. He was knowledgeable, considerate and appeared to love sharing his home city with us. We appreciated his insights into Polish but especially Kraków history. We would thoroughly recommend him and this tour as you get to walk around a lot of the significant monuments and areas of the Old Town. We love the personalised look experience!
Tomasz provided our group with a great insight into the history and culture of Poland and Krakow....he was enthusiastic and passionate about his country and left us with a great understanding of the country
Tomasz did an excellent overview of old town. He was detailed but not overly so. Had tons of recommendations of where to eat and drink. Wunderbarr guide!
