The Gothic Quarter is one of the most popular areas in Barcelona. It is full of character with its narrow streets and medieval buildings. The quarter is also home to some of the city's most popular tourist attractions, such as the Cathedral of Barcelona, the Barcelona City History Museum and the Picasso Museum. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the Gothic Quarter, as well as shops and markets selling everything from souvenirs to local produce.
We had a GREAT experience doing the “Jews and Gentiles in Barcelona” tour with Teo! She shared historical information, remains of actual locations and many wonderful anecdotes. Teo really brought the existence of Barcelona’s Jews throughout the ages to life for us! Her delightful personality and vibrant energy kept us interested and totally engaged throughout our time together. An added bonus was our visit to the Christmas market where Teo explained the meaning of unique customs and traditions celebrated in Spain! We were thoroughly delighted with our tour and would happily spend more entertaining and educational time with wonderful Teo!!
We did a private walking tour focusing on Barcelona history with Philippe. He was happy to shape the tour around what we wanted to see and learn. Philippe was very knowledgeable and fun to walk around town with. He was also able to give us recommendations on other sites we were interested in and things/places to avoid while there. Great tour!
Tao was very knowledgeable of the Gothic area and regaled us with stories of growing up in the area. I would highly recommend.
What a guy, gave a great tour, really knows his stuff, he can change it up based on your knowledge, I know a fair amount about the civil war and I learned a lot more. Had to cut it short as it was chucking down but no worries. Highly recommended and Philippe is a genuine smart and interesting guy.
